Madison Green Country Club
About
With over 200 courses in Palm Beach County, architect John Sandford knew he would have to create something special to get attention. At Madison Green Country Club he did just that, creating a unique course that combines many of the best features from local courses, with a few surprises all its own.
Over a thousand palm trees line the course as do over 100 bunkers and 42 acres of shimmering lakes.
One very interesting aspect of the design is that not only does the course get longer as you move back in tees, but the shot angles also get increasingly challenging. This means that the good player not only has further to hit but must also place the ball more accurately on the fairway in order to set himself up for his next shot.
A young teen, his father, his mother and even his grandfather playing together from four different sets of tees will all experience a fair challenge for their respective games that still remains enjoyable!

Greens are in great shape but roll a little slow. I prefer slightly faster greens. Fairways have improved but grass has not completely filled in. Conditions are soft and muddy underneath. Sand traps vary. Some are nice, others not so much. The worst aspect was the new GPS system. It was poorly adjusted. Carts would stop at wrong locations. Only way to continue was to back out of the area. Attempted to mark restricted areas on computer screen but poorly defined. Hole information was limited. No yardage markings were given. Other then hole representation, system was useless. In addition, system controlled the speed of the cart. Very frustrating. Until system is fixed, I would consider playing elsewhere. Disappointing because I really do like this course.
Average Course with Friendly Staff
The driving range was limited to mats and putting green was in good condition.
The Tee boxes were pretty torn up but the fairways and greens were in decent condition, except a few muddy areas and flooded bunkers. The course difficulty was moderate with a lot of water to look out for.
The staff were very polite and friendly. Overall, it was just an average experience.
Not worth the money.
The course conditions and pace of play make the fees charged not worth it. Almost every hole had dirt patches in the fairways, beat up tee boxes, dirt patches on the greens, and every green was covered in weeds and crab gras. Friendly staff, but definitely way to expensive for the the poor course conditions and the slow play due to the quirky course layout. Won’t be back.
Average at best, and doesn't seem to get better over time.
Range still mats only. Course is in pretty rough shape. The fairways all have large bald spots and the traps have more shells and stones than sand.
At one time a great tough course for a private course
I like the test. Greens are not as good as some years. I don’t remember the spots on the greens. trimming the foliage around the course. Tidy up the bunkers. I will be back.
Decent
Decent course for price. Good job of cleaning after recent bad weather (tornados). Greens good shape. Fairways so so. Overall worth the money. Staff helpful.
Not the cart
Having played here before was expecting a nice Sunday round with my brother. The putting green had some bare patches but playable, Had a hardtime navigating all the sandy cart path. However, we were assigned the worst cart in history. It was like driving a 1979 Station wagon without power steering. I suspect that they are about to replace the carts because they were all out date. Call and ask about the carts before you play. Enjoy.
Wait for new carts
This is a very interesting Golf Course that generally is in decent condition. Unfortunately for us, we had a 5-Hour round due to some golfers playing in front of us. Of course Rangers did attempt to deal with it but what can you say about inconsiderate golfers. The carts there are now in terrible condition. We had a cart that wouldn't turn right without someone getting out and turning the wheel manually. There were multiple dead carts including the foursome in front of us whose cart died on the 18th hole. I understand that there are new carts on order. I like playing here but it'll be a few months before we go back.
Fees were fairly cheap. Not crowded at all. Doing some work on the course but no significant improvements. Sand traps & fairway areas need a lot of work! Grass in fairways is very sparse. Greens were a little slow but much better than the practice green. Course location is ideal but still may not override the conditions! A cheap price is good to go out and just swing!
Terrible Shape
Not since the middle of Covid, have I played a course that was in worst shape. I paid $28 and I think I overpaid by $24. There was no one on the golf course because it’s in such horrible horrible shape. It’s a shame because the people that work there are nice and professional, but it’s obvious that there’s no money being invested in the upkeep. Even My golf cart died on the first hole and had to be pushed in by the Asst Pro due to shortage in staffing. Believe it or not the pro told me the greens were running at a five on the stamp, I have never putted on fives before.
I played this two or three years ago and I really enjoyed it and it was in great shape, so I don’t know what’s happened, but it’s a shell of its former self.
I’ll check back in 6 to 12 months because that’s how long it will take for the grass to grow back
