Madison Green Country Club
About
With over 200 courses in Palm Beach County, architect John Sandford knew he would have to create something special to get attention. At Madison Green Country Club he did just that, creating a unique course that combines many of the best features from local courses, with a few surprises all its own.
Over a thousand palm trees line the course as do over 100 bunkers and 42 acres of shimmering lakes.
One very interesting aspect of the design is that not only does the course get longer as you move back in tees, but the shot angles also get increasingly challenging. This means that the good player not only has further to hit but must also place the ball more accurately on the fairway in order to set himself up for his next shot.
A young teen, his father, his mother and even his grandfather playing together from four different sets of tees will all experience a fair challenge for their respective games that still remains enjoyable!

Challenging course
First time at Madison Green and the staff was very friendly and helpful in making sure we had a great experience. We got yardage books in the pro shop to make sure we knew what the holes looked like. The outside staff got our bags from the car and loaded them on a cart and left the cart just outside the pro shop where we checked in. Each hole presented unique challenges from the tee shots to the greens and the putting.
Great Value...
This was my first time playing the course. It was at the end of the day on Sunday with 2:45P tee time. The staff was friendly and helpful. I played by myself as a single. I played the front nine in an hour. There are some tricky holes on this course which require some thought and placement. It can be a grip & rip, but you better be confident with where you are hitting! the course is not overly wide and the are some narrow landing areas on a couple of holes!! It is challenging.
My biggest gripe for the course was no one repaired their green or fairway divots!! It was really poor form by the previous golfers! the cart attendant saw me filling in probably a dozen divots in the fairway coming into the 18 green. He seemed to notice and appreciate the effort. I was the final golfer on the course.
As for the shop and course management, I would say offer better instructions to the sensitivities of the carts in relation to the OB via GPS. THere were multiple times I was in the "yellow" by the GPS, but then had to Slowly back up till I hit green. Frustrating.
Otherwise, a great afternoon by myself! I will be back!
Good value for money
1st time playing the course and you can tell that it was once a really nice course. Good layout, brand new carts, good amenities on course and off and great price for a round of golf in PB. If your long off the tees, play the black, if not, white tees are challenging enough. Really nice driving range and putting green. If they cared for the waste bunkers more and tended to the greens, this would be 5 stars. If you get to play here for $50, I would say definitely play here, they have a players card for $99, which gets you preferred times and lower pricing year round. Also, their bar area was a surprise, so definitely stop into the 19th hole for a drink and some food, really good on both fronts.
Moving in the right direction
Played here years ago was not impressed, tried again because of tee time and price . I was extremely impressed with the results. The course was much better. You can really see the improvements to greens, fairways and tee boxes. It’s not pristine yet but it’s a big improvement from last time I played.
Great improve
New karts green are in good condition.
Fairway was green and not yellow
They are taking care of the golf course
Better than last year
Starter, cashier,Marshall, kart workers.. every one is very relax and nice
Can be challenging but that’s what a golfer likes
I prepaid through online app check-in was a breeze , young men working in a cart, super courteous and helpful.
Overall, the course was in great shape. Greens were good little on the fast side, but I have no complaints with that. Give it a shot you’ll like it.
Current Madison Park review
Good value but course needs work on the fairways and traps. Pace of play excellent
Greens are in great shape but roll a little slow. I prefer slightly faster greens. Fairways have improved but grass has not completely filled in. Conditions are soft and muddy underneath. Sand traps vary. Some are nice, others not so much. The worst aspect was the new GPS system. It was poorly adjusted. Carts would stop at wrong locations. Only way to continue was to back out of the area. Attempted to mark restricted areas on computer screen but poorly defined. Hole information was limited. No yardage markings were given. Other then hole representation, system was useless. In addition, system controlled the speed of the cart. Very frustrating. Until system is fixed, I would consider playing elsewhere. Disappointing because I really do like this course.
Average Course with Friendly Staff
The driving range was limited to mats and putting green was in good condition.
The Tee boxes were pretty torn up but the fairways and greens were in decent condition, except a few muddy areas and flooded bunkers. The course difficulty was moderate with a lot of water to look out for.
The staff were very polite and friendly. Overall, it was just an average experience.
Not worth the money.
The course conditions and pace of play make the fees charged not worth it. Almost every hole had dirt patches in the fairways, beat up tee boxes, dirt patches on the greens, and every green was covered in weeds and crab gras. Friendly staff, but definitely way to expensive for the the poor course conditions and the slow play due to the quirky course layout. Won’t be back.
Average at best, and doesn't seem to get better over time.
Range still mats only. Course is in pretty rough shape. The fairways all have large bald spots and the traps have more shells and stones than sand.
At one time a great tough course for a private course
I like the test. Greens are not as good as some years. I don’t remember the spots on the greens. trimming the foliage around the course. Tidy up the bunkers. I will be back.
Decent
Decent course for price. Good job of cleaning after recent bad weather (tornados). Greens good shape. Fairways so so. Overall worth the money. Staff helpful.
