Madison Green Country Club

Having played here before was expecting a nice Sunday round with my brother. The putting green had some bare patches but playable, Had a hardtime navigating all the sandy cart path. However, we were assigned the worst cart in history. It was like driving a 1979 Station wagon without power steering. I suspect that they are about to replace the carts because they were all out date. Call and ask about the carts before you play. Enjoy.

This is a very interesting Golf Course that generally is in decent condition. Unfortunately for us, we had a 5-Hour round due to some golfers playing in front of us. Of course Rangers did attempt to deal with it but what can you say about inconsiderate golfers. The carts there are now in terrible condition. We had a cart that wouldn't turn right without someone getting out and turning the wheel manually. There were multiple dead carts including the foursome in front of us whose cart died on the 18th hole. I understand that there are new carts on order. I like playing here but it'll be a few months before we go back.

Fees were fairly cheap. Not crowded at all. Doing some work on the course but no significant improvements. Sand traps & fairway areas need a lot of work! Grass in fairways is very sparse. Greens were a little slow but much better than the practice green. Course location is ideal but still may not override the conditions! A cheap price is good to go out and just swing!

Not since the middle of Covid, have I played a course that was in worst shape. I paid $28 and I think I overpaid by $24. There was no one on the golf course because it’s in such horrible horrible shape. It’s a shame because the people that work there are nice and professional, but it’s obvious that there’s no money being invested in the upkeep. Even My golf cart died on the first hole and had to be pushed in by the Asst Pro due to shortage in staffing. Believe it or not the pro told me the greens were running at a five on the stamp, I have never putted on fives before.

I played this two or three years ago and I really enjoyed it and it was in great shape, so I don’t know what’s happened, but it’s a shell of its former self.

I’ll check back in 6 to 12 months because that’s how long it will take for the grass to grow back

This course has a great staff and if maintained would be a really good track. Unfortunately the fairways are in horrible shape and the greens were just sliced as part of maintenance. I would love to say come play just for the staff but I can’t the conditions are that bad.

This is a challenging course with a great layout. At one point it was a top course, now I rank it as the worst course in the county based on the condition. I wouldn’t play there again if it were free.

Greens are in good shape. Putting green not good at all but doesn't represent course greens. Fairways are average for this time of year. Grass could be fuller. Rough is thicker than usual. Tee boxes are fair.

3 hours to play 9 holes. Fairways were a disaster mostly dirt. Greens were a disaster with a lot of impediments and unnatural patches. Pace of play was terrible, at one point there were FOUR foursomes on the 8th hole, 15-20 minutes standing on each tee box. Golf carts needed steering oil and one crashed multiple times because wheel wouldn’t turn. Would have got a better review if I paid $10 for the round, that’s high-end value what it’s worth.

Steady decline since February/March. If they have a greenskeeper he should be fired. If they don’t that would make more sense, they need to get one. You have to work hard to screw a course up like they have this one. Went from a good course missing a few things to a mud pasture with greens. Even in the rainy season there’s no grass anywhere in the fairways. The greens USED to be the only saving grace for this course and now even they are dying. Driving even the regulars away with these conditions. Clearly a reflection of ownership with conditions this bad

The bunkers if you can call them that are terrible. Plants growing in them, water filled up after rain. The fairways are in shambles with dirt and weeds growing. The greens are rough with ant hills on them and some just brown dying. For 30$ it’s not worth it when there are better courses for more value. The cart path floods terribly with puddles the whole way through.
