The Dunes Golf & Tennis Club

Anyone visiting Sanibel who is a golfer MUST play the Dunes if at all possible. Lovely setting around beautiful water areas. Very fine condition even though it was quite hot. Pro Shop could not have been nicer. Loved our outing and played in remarkable time.

The day after the track was flooded the grounds crew had the course in great shape. Management had plenty of workers on the course, showed that they cared. I played alone and had a great day. Loved the layout, lots of water, but fair!

Most holes are very tight & mistakes are not forgiven. Leave your driver in the bag on most holes, as I learned the hard way. Course was in nice condition but recent heavy rains made everything very soggy & difficult to hit off tight fairway lies. Challenging greens very hard to read.

Really nice course and worth to go to Sanibel Island.

Two couples played. The men played from the back tees and the women the front. We had a fun day. The course was tight and required good shots to avoid the water. There were beautiful houses around the course.

We enjoyed the day and went to the Bubble Room for dinner after the round.

Course was in perfect condition, drinks and food were great after, service was right there, no waiting.

A friend and I played and had the first T-time of the day. The conditions were good and the course played fairly. Tee selection is important and will affect your ability to score. I am a 20 handicap and we played Tee 3 which distance wise looks short but with water in play on many holes it worked great for us. We played in under 3 hours. The staff is great.

A course you definitely want to come back to play, if you are a long hitter play from the tips. Greens are in great shape with lots of elevation changes.

Really nice layout. The course is not that long, but be careful there are enough challenges out there and you can easily get absorbed by it. Plenty of water and nature along the course. Really like it.

Course was in very nice condition, greens are fast and move in unexpected ways. If you are a bit off line, you will be in the water. Not long, but with the wind, have to play it a bit shorter. Watch the long tee shots! Fairways end and you will be in the drink. Course was getting mowed and the rough was very deep. For $50, this was a great deal.

Course was in great shape even though they had 3.5 inches of rain earlier that morning. Cart path only made for slow play. Water on every hole made it a challenge.

Very challenging course with all the water in play. I also had windy conditions which made it more difficult. This is a target course. Lost a few balls. Got to see the layout of the course, so next time it will be easier to remember the tough spots.

We played the #1 tees as it was only 5500 yards. The layout and risk/reward of the holes makes sure you're on your game otherwise you'll end up shooting in the 90's. Fun course. Not sure if it's worth the $115 green fee as there's no GPS on the carts, no towels in the cart and no extra attn. But if you're looking for a fun challenging course, this is it.

Nice course. Lots of water but really doesn't come into play that much. Course is short but fairly wide. Greens are in good shape.

They really cram the golfers in here and don't do a great job matching people up. I was a single player. There was a threesome ahead of us. I played in a threesome, and there were three twosomes behind us. We were about 20 minutes late teeing off because they were so overbooked. But, the starter gave me a small bucket of balls to kill the time. The range is a big lake and they use floating balls.

I guess this time of year you should expect a 4.5 hour round.
