Sanibel Island Golf Club

I don’t know why anyone would give this course more than a star only good part of the course is the greens what’s up with all the crushed gravel .First time playing there the fairways are in terrible shape hit a good shot come around the corner you guessed it crushed gravel try to look for some decent grass good luck.Got a discount on golf now so that’s good .Majestic in Lehigh acres was better when it was open

The course is looking great. It played fast as well and we will play again soon. Tee boxes were nice, greens and fairways were in great shape, you need to play this course if you get a chance, you won’t be disappointed.

Staff was super friendly and the greens were perfect. The layout is not to tricky and it was fun to play. Will definitely go there again during my vacation.

Fun course on Sanibel island. Greens are slow, so putt hard. Overall had a blast. !

Greens in good shape...tees need work. Layout the best attribute.

I don’t usually leave any negative reviews but it feels needed for sake of people visiting like myself, who do not know the area. This course was in brutal shape all around. Overgrown or grassless tee boxes, thick fairways, horrible grass on the rough, and the greens were like carpet. They barely had any signs around the course so we were just following the gps on the cart. I did like the overall layout of the course and the carts, maybe we just caught it at a bad time.

Definitely worth getting a tee time. Especially with Summer rates. The fairways were decent. A few patchy areas but not horrible. The greens were well kept. Slower than usual for a Florida course.

Great condition considering the amount of rain. Standing water in most of the fairways. Course was still playable. Super friendly staff and helpful staff. Course was well played out, but not to hard.

The recovery post-Ian is remarkable from last year to now. Fairways are about 80-85% grown in, and Paspalum greens are flawless, if slow.

Was a little leary based on the reviews making it seem like most fairways and tee boxes were bad. I found most of the fairways to be pretty darn good. Tee boxes mostly on back is where the issues were. Several feet of salt water, almost in back to back years, causes chaos. The greens were absolutely gorgeous but boy do they roll slow. The round I booked came with a free pizza and beer, unfortunately(or fortunately depending on how you look at it), I finished the round in a little over 3 hours so the restaurant wasnt open yet. Therr are some tighter holes that require you to be accurate off the tee, but most had a very forgiving layout. Fun round, nice views, good wild life. Will certainly be back for off season play since the in season rates are a bit much for me.

Awesome course with some tight holes. Few holes you have to have club selection so you don’t always need to hit driver

Please keep in mind, the course is still recovering from the hurricane. The fairways and tee boxes are rough. No drinking water on the course. No tee markers as well. Brand new golf carts with GPS will help you navigate around the course. I hope in another year the course will be in great shape
