1st Time Playing at Sanibel
Beautiful setting however tee boxes need a lot of work however the greens and the fairways are immaculate.
Also suggest better hole markings. Zero marking for which hole your on or where to go next.
Sandibel golf course in full recovery mode
The course is starting to really look good after being fully devistated by the hurricane. The club house looks great with a real good restaurant and newly remodeled bar. Super friendly staff. The only thing missing are a few signs, markers and a couple ball wasers on the course.
Sanibel Golf course
The greens were awesome almost no blemishes nice slow speed so the course doesn’t penalize you once you’re on the green.
Tee boxes a whole other story , horrible shape, horrible footing probably the worst tea boxes I played on other than El Rio.
Fairways were hit and miss if you missed the center of the fairway and you were on the sides, then you had green grass to hit from if you hit the middle of the fairway or anywhere close to it it was dirt and splotches of grass.
$176 for two people was astronomical for this course won’t play it again
Southwest FL Golf
Greens in excellent condition!!
Fairways in decent shape considering Florida dry
Conditions. Considering how difficult & pricey it is to golf in this area this is a great playable course with a a great wildlife atmosphere.
Great Greens, the rest needs nourishment
March 21, 2026: 17 of the 18 greens were in near perfect condition. But once you get 5 feet off the apron, it’s a 50/50 chance of being green grass or dying grass / weeds. Not sure how they do that, but it would be a great course to play if the fairways and roughs were maintained like the greens.
Maybe open too soon
The course played pretty well. The pace of play was good (3 1/2 hours for 18). I think there are many places (especially the tee boxes) that need some TLC from the hurricanes.. considering everything, I would say that this course would be great in time. They seem to be trying to get it up to speed as soon as they can.
I had a foursome in front that appeared to be members and refused to allow a play through for obviously faster and more skilled golfer. This was extremely annoying, but the course was a good play and the staff was very nice and friendly.
Greatly improved form January 2025
The course has improved a lot since last year. The greens are 100% better and although the faiways still need work - they are also much more playable over last year. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Will definitely play here again!
