Golfer Reviews
Ashwood is consistently good.
I like Ashwood a lot because it’s a course I know well and I always know where u stand. If I’m not playing that well, I usually go back to Ashwood and try to get my game back in check.
On this particular visit, the course was in really good condition, the tee boxes, fairways and greens were mostly in top notch condition. The second cut was a little thick but playable. The bunkers…. Well, for some reason, Ashwood maintenance cannot get these figured out. A couple of them did have some decent sand, but others are a joke. Why can’t someone go into these bunkers with a rake every once in a while and rake out the rocks? If I unfortunately land in some of these bunkers, I don’t play it from there.
The staff is always friendly and the driving range is good because you actually hit off of grass.
Thank you for your rating! We appreciate your support and look forward to welcoming you back soon. Your experience means a lot to us.
Challenging layout with water in play on many holes.
Tortuous layout through a housing development. Fairways beat up by necessary carts. Greens are best feature of course. Somewhat of an urban feel because of houses bordering most holes. Staff was friendly and courteous.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! We're glad you enjoyed the greens and found our staff friendly. We appreciate your feedback on the course layout and conditions, as it helps us improve. Hope to see you back for a better experience next time!

Great layout
Nice course for those that don’t drive to far, one can be on the green in two shots!
It has three 9 hole courses.
Thanks for your feedback! We're glad you enjoyed the convenience of our course layout. With three 9-hole courses, there's always a new challenge to tackle. We hope to see you back on the greens soon!
Rocky sand traps
Mostly very good except sand traps mostly bad bats full
Thanks for your feedback! We're glad you enjoyed your experience overall. We’re always working to improve, and your comments about the sand traps are noted. We hope to see you again soon for another round!
Air plug and sand pits a lot rocky
Have to clean rocky sand pits before hitting the ball will not ruin the club
Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate your insights about the sand bunkers and are always looking for ways to improve our course. We hope to see you again soon for another round under better conditions! Thank you for your thought's comments and concerns.

Surprisingly nice!
First time. Played 18 Sunday in less than 3 hours!
Lots of par 3’s most 4’s no par 5’s
Definitely will return!
Thank you for the great review. Under 3 hours for 18 on a Sunday is a win in anyone’s book.
You’re absolutely right, Ashwood Golf Course offers a layout with a strong mix of par 3s and par 4s, which keeps things moving while still demanding good shot making. It’s a fun change of pace and perfect for players who enjoy a quicker round without sacrificing challenge.
We’re glad your first visit was a good one, and we look forward to having you back out again soon.

I have played this course several times. The fairways are wide open and today were pretty firm along with the greens, they had no bite and even the softest chip would roll out. The sand traps are a while separate issue. You would think that being an executive course and being basically in the desert the sand would be better, however it has tons of rocks in it and were like hitting off of cement. I do like that the driving range does not use mats like so many courses do.
Thank you for playing with us multiple times and for taking the time to give such detailed feedback. We really appreciate that.
At Ashwood Golf Course, firmness can definitely fluctuate depending on weather and irrigation cycles, especially with our desert climate. When the greens and fairways firm up, it can change the way the course plays and create that extra rollout you experienced. We continue working to balance firmness with playability so the surfaces stay healthy while still holding quality shots.
You’re absolutely right about the bunkers being a separate issue. Rock intrusion and firmness are ongoing challenges for us, and we know that can be frustrating. Improvements are in progress, and bunker consistency remains a priority.
We’re glad you mentioned the driving range as well. Keeping it grass instead of mats is important to us, and we’re happy you value that.
Thank you again for the honest review. We hope to keep improving and give you an even better experience next time out.
Nice Course
Three 9 hole courses. Good condition with an excellent staff !
Thank you for the great review. We appreciate it.
At Ashwood Golf Course, having three distinct 9 hole courses gives players a lot of variety, and we’re glad you found them in good condition. Even more importantly, we’re proud of our staff, so your kind words about the team mean a lot.
We look forward to seeing you back out for another round soon.
Always improving!
I play Ashwood a lot because it’s a fairly challenging course and the staff is really friendly. It’s not the longest course with par 4’s and 3’s with no par 5’s, but the water, the narrow fairways and the bunkers make it challenging. Most of the bunkers need help but they are fixing some of them, other could use a raking to remove the rocks and pebbles.
Thank you for being a loyal player and for the thoughtful feedback. We truly appreciate you choosing to play Ashwood Golf Course regularly.
You described the course exactly as intended. It is not the longest layout, but with the water, tighter landing areas, and strategic bunkering, it demands accuracy and good decision making. We’re glad you enjoy that challenge and that our team continues to make you feel welcome.
You’re also absolutely right about the bunkers. Some have already been repaired, and we are continuing to address others. Removing rocks and improving consistency is part of that ongoing work. It does not happen overnight, but it is a priority.
We appreciate the honest input and your continued support. We look forward to seeing you out there again soon.
Thanks for the fantastic feedback! We're thrilled to hear you enjoy visiting and appreciate the course conditions. Your concerns about the bunkers have been noted, and we’ll work on improving them. We're glad our staff and driving range meet your expectations. See you on the course again soon!
