Meadows/Oaks Golf Course at Pennbrooke Fairways
About
Pennbrooke Fairways in Leesburg is located less than an hour from Orlando. It offers two nine-hole executive golf courses as well as a regulation nine. The two executive courses are called the Meadows and the Oaks. Each of the nines has a unique character but what they do have in common are large, manicured greens and lush, undulating fairways. The Meadows opens with its signature hole, a par 4 that is only 213 yards. Despite the short length, it's still a tricky hole with an ancient, moss-draped oak square in the middle of the fairway. You'll have to be ambitious and try to shoot over it or strategize a low shot to go around it. Pennbrooke Fairways' Oaks Course is seemingly benign but the tight fairways will test the accuracy of even seasoned golfers. Errant shots will be met with out-of-bounds on either side of eight of the fairways.

Variety
First 9 was great, good long drive, some good set-up type, fairways in good shape, greens in verry good shape, not the typical rock hard super fast of Florida greens, Awsome high road through a swampy area, the back 9 was short and shorter, but fun course to play, greens had some bare spots but still very playable, ill go back when its not so windy. Very enjoyable.
Fun course, fairly priced
Don't expect top notch conditions on the fairways or in the traps, but you can count on smooth greens and interesting holes on this pleasant course. The Sanctuary is the full length nine that will keep your interest, while the other two are nice executive length layouts. Overall, the courses play short, so your driver may not get used all that often. At this price in January, when most courses are charging far more, you won't find much to complain about here.
Relaxed short course in nice setting
The course was not crowded - great for our beginner (slow) style of play. A few holes of the 9 we played were near course-side homes, but most bordered woods and ponds, a nice natural setting with a number of great blue herons, egrets, and anhingas on display. We enjoyed playing, and will do so again.
Ohio hacker
Nice course, played it a couple of times before. 3 sets of 9. 2 executive and 1 championship 9. We like it. Not emaculate but very nice. A nice place for the average golfer to play.
It really is just a 3 star course
This really is a very middle of the road course, nothing special, nothing so bad, lots of weeds both on and off the greens, although mowed nicely. Traps not raked, porta johns. Its what you expect at this price, nothing more, nothing less. I really cannot see how folks can give this a 4 or 5 star, unless they've only played cow pastures in their past. Its pleasant little course, as I said, its good for the money. I'll come back and play, it fits my budget.
Slow Play
Waited on 13 of 18 holes. Greens really needed rolling and bare patches filled in. Players in front of me very slow. Tallied scores on the green with a bunch of idle chit chat. Members now doubt and never offEred to let me play through. The Staff attendant was very nice and did not charge my wife a rider fee. However I will not make the drive again.
Executive course
This course has seen vast improvements over the past few months! Some of the greens have some rough spots but overall pretty good shape. I would recommend this course and I will be playing here again soon.
Bad condition
The coarse was in terrible condition specially the greens. Residents were really rude
Needs some work
Grass is rough but they are working on it.. I'd give it a while before I went back there.
Didnt feel like we played 18, because the back 9 is basically all par 3s. So nice if you want to work on your short game. Not great if you want to drive the ball
Do not believe high ratings
Bad greens, bad tee boxes, temporary greens. No water to drink. Sand traps never raked. Do not recommend.
Summer golf
Very nice par 3/4 course for a couple of ladies to enjoy a worry free 18 holes of golf.
Great deal
We play here every week, it's a nice course they have 3 9 hole courses one is longer the other 2 are inside the sub division and are pretty short. The 18 holes you play are the long one and one of the other two in rotation. all the courses are in good shape more often than not, and we tend to finish in a little over 2 hours so it's nice for Sunday especially with the $15 green fee.
Underrated course
My wife and I play every weekend usually penbrook and somewhere else. The golf now deal for 15 or 17 bucks is a great deal for a nice course. They have a nine hole out in the woods that is longer and two nines more inside the community that they rotate on for your 18 with the longer 9. The course is always in good shape and it's never so crowded that you have to wait to play very much. We generally finish a round in a little over 2 hours. Staff is very nice always accommodating there's no starter since it's not usually crowded but they still keep good control on tee times. We definitely recommend to anybody for nice course good value
