Puntacana Resort & Club - La Cana Club - Arrecife Course

Tee decks, fairways and greens all great condition, our caddy John was great. Just watch the Caddy foreman working the parking lot kiosk- There seems to be a pecking order and the on course caddies can get ripped off on their tips. Have never seen this happen on a course before.

Overall good experience with La Cana but had a bad experience with the patron behind me. Can't help who is playing behind you but I was almost hit on the 9th hole. Ball whizzed past me as we were getting off the 9th hole green. Maybe the caddie shouldn't have told him to hit or maybe he chose to play as we were exiting the green. The patron didn't yell four not apologized to me as he pulled up to the 10th hole and I expressed in a friendly like manner that you almost hit me, Their caddie was apologetic but the patron was dude and dismissive. Needless to he was rude. Which kind of ruined my gameplay moving forward. However, that is my fault. Nevertheless, if the pace of play was managed properly that wouldn't have occurred. If we pay for caddies, then something like that shouldn't have occurred. Also, the cart guy, was rude and failed to recognize that we were the customers. He seemed a bit arrogant with his communication. He needs better customer service training.

Good course expensive food and drinks at 19th hole but great place

Great value for money. It’s a little out of the way from the beach front resorts, and lacks the pomp and flare of the other golf courses. But well maintained fun golf course to play. Surprisingly long. The friendliest staff, complimentary lunch sandwich with golf. You feel like a local playing here. The only negative would be there should be more attention to pace of play. Took us 6 hours to do 18 holes.

Played 1/24/2025, 2nd round-Hacienda & Arrecife. First time round played Hacienda & Tortuga. Caddie was Wilner both times. Since he knew we were returning he made sure he was available for us! Carts had coolers with water, club/ball washers, tees. All the courses were beautiful and they have bunkers! Most were like concrete so we would pick up and toss on grass(no need to ruin our own clubs), tee boxes great, greens were sometimes fast and slow. Tortuga & Arrecife had some seaside holes! Our caddie was great and could read the greens really well! Courses are long and challenging so pick your tee boxes wisely!
