Puntacana Resort & Club - La Cana Club - Arrecife Course

Awesome course in Cap Cana for celebrating my dad's 65th birthday! The basic price was awesome, but you have to consider also club rentals (USD 75.00 each one), caddie fee (USD 20.00 for each player + tips) and van travel (for us USD 40.00 each trip traveling from Riu Republica to the course).

It is really close to the airport, which is a logic explanation of why the PGA stops there each year for the Corales tournament.

We played in Arrecife and Tortuga (Hacienda was closed due to maintenance), with 6 amazing holes next to the sea. Holes 8 and 9 of Arrecife really makes you feel like you are playing in Pebble Beach!

As reference I am a 8 hcp with a membership at a PGA Tour course. La Cana was overall an average experience. The course condition was mostly good but a few of the greens were not good. The staff was friendly but the need for a caddie was unnecessary. If you are a resort guest you can opt out of the caddie. The only way I recommend this course is if you get a half priced Hot Deal. It is no way worth 165 plus tax and caddie fee/tip. There are some really nice holes but the majority of it is pretty basic. The layout isn’t great as you can have a great tee shot and not see the green due to unnatural moguls or obstacles. Again, overpriced as they wanted $18 for a sleeve of Titleist TruFeel and $21 for a sleeve of ProV1. Not worth it. It’s cool to play once if you can get it for a good price but don’t center your trip around this spot.

Avec le tarif hot deal de Golf Now, nous avons pu nous offrir de jouer ce beau terrain. Notre caddie connaissait très bien son terrain et nous conseillait bien.

Le terrain est vraiment plus beau qu’e Iberostar Bavaro que nous avons payé plus cher pour des verts qui étaient médiocres.

Nous avons joué en basse saison.

Half of the green still had a little sand on them, but getting in better shape every week

The only negative is the traps around the green, have no sand to them.It's like hitting out of concrete.

Course was in good shape, greens were good but some didn’t role completely true. The fairways and tee boxes were excellent. Juan was a great caddy and we were first ones out and finished very quickly. The posted rate was 140 but paid 175 with tax once got to course. Then 75 for rentals. Not cheap but overall a pretty decent course and would go back for any deals that are offered.

Part of the course was close due to maintenance, but the parts that were open were absolutely fantastic. I will play there every week. Please don't go I like the course to myself.LOL

We played both front nines because the back nines were closed for maintenance. Everthing was in great shape the only thing is that one of the nines greens was much slower than the other.

Great day of golf and Eduardo our caddie was awesome

Front nine greens were rock hard, play less club approaching. Titleist rentals no lob wedge in either set. Fausto was nice caddie and knowledgeable. Fun round!

La Cana was in great shape! This was our second time playing here and the golf course experience didn’t let us down. our caddie, Jack, was fun and extremely helpful with navigating the course and greens. Definitely coming back!

Great course and a terrific caddy “Eduardo “ did a great job with us , also some fairways along the ocean were breathtaking.
