Stewart Peninsula Golf Course
About
Stewart Peninsula offers a nine-hole golf course along Lake Lewisville with dual greens on every hole. On the first round, you'll play from the red tees to the red flags, and on the back you'll go yellow to yellow. After a straightforward opening hole where the only real problem is a pesky fairway bunker, nos. 2 and 3 start a trend of interesting holes. No. 2 offers completely different looks from each set of tees. The right side pin placement presents problems because of the lake, and the left flag rests close to greenside mounding that will send balls bounding afar. Misses here should find the bunkers, as the recovery is not all that difficult from the sand. Stewart Peninsula's third hole is probably the signature, and a 250-yard drive will put you in prime position to go at the multi-tiered green. Avoid missing back right, as the up-and-down is especially difficult from that side.

Disappointing
My filters on the app are only for 18 holes yet this course came up. Without further checking because ther times availability fit our schedule, its only a 9 hole course but the tee boxes are different on the “back 9”. Very disappointing. Course was in rough shape. One elderly gentleman working at the front, checking in people, getting balls, checking out carts, being a ranger, etc. Very disorganized.
Had a Great time!
For a fun relaxing day of golf go to the peninsula!
Staff was amazing and course was in good shape!
The layout was great and it was challenging but fun!
Make sure you buy the balls that swim back to you!!!
Interesting layout
Course was in pretty good shape after some recent rain. Greens were good and held shots well. Various tees could make holes a good challenge. No marshal on the course and some beginners without knowledge of golf did impede play.
Wind off the lake can make some difficult shots, so be prepared to bring your best game.
Great views
Nice little course, great views of lake Lewisville. Probably not a good course for the weekend or anytime it’s busy since you have to share the fairways because it’s actually nine holes you play twice.
Not well managed
Busy Saturday afternoon. Cart starts to die half way through, which I can semi understand. What I can’t understand is the significant number of people walking the course on a busy Saturday. Way too many people walking, plus there are large parties playing in golf carts. No one walking let’s you go ahead, they make you wait. Parties of more than 4 playing together. Nice course, poor business operations. Limit walking to the slower days during the week, not peak time on a Saturday.

Not 18 holes
Its a 9 hole course with dual greens to make 18... so you play every hole twice. Its challenges your under 100 yard game
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting Stewart Peninsula Golf Course. We hope to see you again in the future continuing to fine tune your short game.

Shouldn’t be listed as 18, no distance listed is bs
You think you are booking eighteen but it’s really a nine hole you play twice with two sets of tee boxes and greens. Extremely short course. Pretty views along the water but for $36 this is not what you’re looking for.

Fun course
Not a long course due to the extra part three, but all of the holes are challenging. The wind is the great equalizer. Course could’ve been in a little better shape, but the greens were good. I would definitely play this course again
Surprise surprise
Nice little track! Easy to walk but still holds a challenge or two! Greens where in very good shape and rolled very well! I’ll be back soon
Slow play
My tee time was 11:30, I teed off at almost 12:00. The pace of play was horrible I hate to see this course on the weekends.
The layout of the course is nice, but having 1-9 and 10-18 together is a nightmare. We had 3 groups waiting on the tee boxes.
My back 9 was better cause I think people just quit, like I was going to do, but i played cause the people in front of me quit. I think 2 groups in front of me quit.
Overall review nice layout but pace of play horrible.

Excellent Value
Course was in great condition. The different angles were entertaining to play.
Intimate and welcoming lakeside
The course was in surprisingly excellent condition, with smooth soft fairways, well kept greens, and a manicured rough just deep enough to hide a golf ball.
Nine-hole courses can be limiting, but Steward Peninsula tries hard to keep it interesting. Each green has two pins, red and gold. There are separate red and gold tee boxes on each hole, so when playing 18 holes the front and back loops aren't exactly the same. On some holes it makes a significant difference.
The course is surrounded by Lake Lewisville. The lake and its shoreline come into play on holes 1, 2, 3, 4 and 9. Small feeder streams and ponds can be a factor on 5 and 7. Only the 6th and 8th holes are entirely safe for those afraid of water. This can make the course much more challenging when the lake level is higher than normal.
First Time at Stewart Peninsula
First time playing at this course. It's nine holes that you play twice. They have large/split greens with two different pins to play for each nine. They are far enough apart that approach shots into the green does make it feel like two different holes. It has four Par 4's, four Par 3's and one Par 5. The Par fours are challenging and the Par 3's are fair. You do end up hitting all the clubs in your bag.
The greens and fairways are in good shape and you have a views of the Lake on several holes.
All in all, I would recommend playing there, I will.
Hot But Tolerable
Stewart Creek is my favorite golf course. The setting is beautiful on the lake and there's always a nice breeze. The course and carts are well maintained and you couldn't ask for a more friendly staff. And the price is always right. If you haven't given this course a try, you're missing out.
