Stewart Peninsula Golf Course
About
Stewart Peninsula offers a nine-hole golf course along Lake Lewisville with dual greens on every hole. On the first round, you'll play from the red tees to the red flags, and on the back you'll go yellow to yellow. After a straightforward opening hole where the only real problem is a pesky fairway bunker, nos. 2 and 3 start a trend of interesting holes. No. 2 offers completely different looks from each set of tees. The right side pin placement presents problems because of the lake, and the left flag rests close to greenside mounding that will send balls bounding afar. Misses here should find the bunkers, as the recovery is not all that difficult from the sand. Stewart Peninsula's third hole is probably the signature, and a 250-yard drive will put you in prime position to go at the multi-tiered green. Avoid missing back right, as the up-and-down is especially difficult from that side.

Only 9 Holes
This course has 9 holes with two greens on each hole. You play the red flags for the first nine and the gold flags for the back nine. It is only a par 66. This information is not given on the course website.
Needs Improvement
A bit pricey for a 9 hole course (play same hole twice). Fairway and greens definitely can use attention. A couple positives: not very busy therefore you can play a fast game. The other is the course has a very nice lake background. Its an okay course, but, needs improvement.
Cal it what it is
They pretend like this is an 18 hole GC but it is really a 9 hole GC. There are two pins on each green and a front, middle, and back tee for each pin on the green. So there are tee boxes all over the place. You never know which tee box you are supposed to be hitting from for which pin. Its a mess! We spent the whole day trying to figure out what we were supposed to do and where we were supposed to tee off from. Then add the fact that it took 4.5 hours to play a oar 33/66 GC that is barely 5000 yards long made it a pretty miserable experience. It's a bit of a stretch to call it an 18 hole GC and they need to make that clear. Me and the guys that played it had no idea. They also need to have some better signage on the tee box like, Red Pin-(front 9)-back tee, middle tee, front tee. You get up to the tee box and there are literally 6 different places top hit from and it not anywhere consistent. For example the back tee the front 9 for the number 1 hole is gold, then you get to number 3 and the red tee is the back tee. Like I said we got to the point where we just picked a tee box and hit. Well, hit after waiting for 15 minutes probably because the group in front of us was just as confused as we were. On a good note, it has some potential and the views of the lake are nice, and the lake comes into play on several holes.
You have to think your way around this course and be prepared for target greens.
Different and enjoyable golf experience based on a links course design. It looks quite different than a traditional course but that's what makes the course fun to play. Sloping, fast fairways and target greens add to the challenge, and the wind off the lake is a constant factor in club selection. Nice change of pace, enjoyable scenery and value for the money.
Short and easy
Course is very short only 1 par 5 you play twice. Tons of players soIit backed up quickly.
OK course, fair price, roads in/out are rough
I go here every once in a while and it is the plan C for my golfing buddies. The roads going in are rough, and have been for years. The course is in fair shape but have never been pristine. I wish it was a little better course but I guess it has been this way for years and this will be the best it ever is. Kids golf training disrupted the round dramatically as they spread across a few holes and this is a 9 hole with two tracks to get to 18 so you catch them twice in a round.
Left after 9
I was very unimpressed the course. It was not very well maintained. I heard the staff arguing with a customer. I will never play here again and would not recommend to anyone. The only positive here was the marshall. He was a nice guy
Best 18-hole value in the metroplex
Always fun coming out to Stewart Peninsula. The views are great and the staff always treat you like a real person. they have new carts as that was my complaint about these guys before. The greens are in great shape and the cart girl is always around. The great thing about this golf course is that you rarely find a bad golfer to play with (always great people that play here). The value us great and the beer prices are the lowest in the industry. My only wish is they had a bigger 19th hole as it can get busy after your round.
This course was very enjoyable
I considered this a great value for the money. The staff was very cordial and the course was in very good shape.
Good conditions
The course has a surprisingly good feel for a 9 hole course that plays 18.
Beginner's course...
This course is good for you if you are beginner golfer, but then again not recommended. Every hole is so short, small and narrow. I feel like playing in a miniature golf course. This course is so compacted and small, just leave your driver at home. Seem like the spaces was focus all on the par 3's from 170-200 yards. You reach most of the Par 4 in one. The scenery lake was nice and the staffs was wonderful. Most likely I wont be back..
Great value for the great condition and NEW GOLf CARTS!
Ok...I always love going to a golf course with great (new) golf carts. Stewart Peninsula has brand new clubcarts and they drive great. Course in great condition and greens some of the best in town. For the value you have to rank it very, very high!
MY golfing freinds make this course a weekly stop.
Thank you!
Great course, super friendly staff and beautiful views.
The course will surprise you. Its very challenging. The staff was very friendly infact we were a little late and the marshall allowed us to blend in very nicely. Beer was only $3 and they had a nice selection. The only reason its not a 5 is becuase of limited food options. The value was easily a 5.
We will be back and try to tackle number hole #16 again!
Course layout is horrible and the staff is very rude for an empty course. Cant be late at all.!!

Poor and Rude Service
First off, I am a golf fanatic who plays in excess of 80 times a year at many DFW golf courses. I have never left a review like what you are about to read, as it is not in my nature.
The owner/operator of this golf course was the most rudest example of horrible service that my group and myself have even dealt with. His demeanor from the moment that we arrived was poor, and at moments intense to the point we felt like he was going to start a physical confrontation. I'm really not sure why went on to play the course, against my best judgments.
He actually charged me for 4, I repeat 4 tee-times onto my debit card. He did so in the form of 2 transactions; 1 for the actual tee-time and a separate transaction for the 3. This is absolute fraud and the legal authorities as well my banking institution have been informed.
As far as the course conditions are concerned, they are below average and the price is no where near justified for a 9 hole course with poor conditions.
As an avid golfer, I would never recommend another lover of this game to these deplorable conditions and horrendous customer service by this owner. . Please stay away from Stewart Peninsula.
On a positive note, the Marshall and cart service was very friendly.
Manager was arrogant and very unprofessional
I play golf at several golf course in the DFW area and have never met a more unprofessional golf course. The Manage was very arrogant and rude. There was not a Cart girl on a Saturday afternoon.
nice views, par 66 but provides deifficulty
Decent course, great views....needs a little maintenance but overall nice because of the views of the lake
Best value in the metroplex.
If you are looking for fun and something surprisingly different this is it!. My freinds and I were very impressed with the condidtion of the golf course. NEW CARTS and a beautiful cart girl. Make no mistakes about it this may be shorter but by no means easier. Any other vote it would receive a 31/2 or 4 start but the value alone makes it tops and a place we will visit again. Heck! they were out of hot dogs and sandwhiches so the Manager shared his emplyee pizza with us and gave us free beer. We will play it again!
This course is the best deal around!
My buddies and I enjoyed this course alot. Two of ous are from Enland and and California. This course has character and some challenging holes. We played a 18-hole round of golf in less then 4 1/2 hours! Tough to do in Dallas! They had great staff, ok food (could be better) course was in great shape, and cart girl good looking. Best thing beer only $3.
Super people on the golf course! We will come back many times!
