River Oaks Golf Club

If you're going to let the course fade away, at least maintain the quality of your greens above all else and River Oaks does that. Brown spots and dead grass are abound elsewhere. Happy I got a Hot deal, paying anything more would feel a little rough.

I like this course to work on my longer shots, whether teeing off of approach shots. Greens seem to be running a little faster than I can remember from the past, and very nice, but patchy fairways having a lot to due w/ mostly this time of year. Jeremy's always helpful in the proshop (shack shop - not really a "proshop") & the starter that day was very courteous & was geat to talk with too. I played w/ an older couple that were absolutely wonderful, & if I can play as they did when I'm 79 & 80 like them, I'll be happier than a pig in a mud puddle. Unbelievable. really enjoyed my game w/ them very much. Shows what you can do if you want too while taking care of yourself as you're getting older. Grass range which is always a positive too. Nice practice green & a bunker also. Just expect a lot of local folks either fairly slow or just fast like "wham bam boogie whack next" as I call it all over the place pushing you w/ carts! Be prepared if you play well & take the time you are allowed per shot because if you are paired up w/ these kinds of players, and you are waiting on them to hit, and then it's your turn, you like the guy that's holding folks up. Odd, but it’s the way it is everywhere now, so just be ready for that! But w/ all this, I love the course, enjoy the folks out there & will be back.

The course was in good shape and the weather was perfect.

Course condition is what you would expect during the winter. Greens were in very good condition. Faster than they usually are which is great.

The course is the best value in the area. Always in great shape

Enjoyed the round at River Oaks. Great layout and boy do the trees come into play. Highly recommend.

River Oaks is in nice shape, especially given that it’s a smaller operation. There are some unique holes on the back that make this a fun place to play….a good match play set up for sure.

First time playing here. 9 am tee time . If your hungry in the am ..no luck just coffee. Grass range : a plus. 2nd hole is by a small ditch... filled with mosquitoes so wear your bug spray! I got eaten up within seconds. Fairways are in good condition and greens too.

Have played here 3-4 times in the last year and have enjoyed the overall experience every time. I am impressed with how well they keep up the course with a pretty lean staff. Friendly staff and gotta give it up to the senora who makes the breakfast burritos! She also does the bar. Course is not perfect but compared to others with larger staffs they are awesome. Greens are in great shape with just a few problem areas which were minimal. Bravo

The course and staff are very nice; however the bathrooms smell so bad it takes your breath away . If you are going to charge 25$ for rental clubs they should at least be new with in the last 3/5 years. The grips were falling apart they had not been cleaned and they are probably 10-15 years old.

I’ve always enjoyed this course back to it’s Rio la Paz days. The course was a little damp, I’m sure because of the recent heat we’ve had. Greens were a little shaggy but rolled true.

I played with 2 members and they were a blast. Giving the where to aim & backup stories like guys that have played together a lot.

We played in a little over 3 hours with no one in front of us and no one on our tail.

The course was in great shape. The greens were rolling true and medium speed, but they were a little too soft. The pace of play was great only 2.5 hours for 18 holes. Tee boxes were not level in spots. Overall, I had a great time.

Yes, it was a beautiful day for golf.

A little soggy and a few places, but did not affect the overall play.
