Other reviews complain about not enough sand in the bunkers , well don’t go in the bunkers, because it is a penalty box.
My buddy and I had a great time playing here. The staff was fun to be around. We told them we escaped from the HOME so again had a great time.

Damaged Greens
Apparently nobody fixes their ball marks at Ridge Creek. Tons of tiny craters left behind render the greens disappointing. Bumpy putts, and it absolutely affects the ball. The rest of the course is well maintained.
There was a time when the greens at Ridge Creek were the best in the Central Valley. No more.

Weather excellent
Our group of 3 people was joined by a forth , he’s golf etiquette wasn’t good. It was uncomfortable and made it a bad day

Good course and a change
Good course I like it but for what they are asking for a round they need to address the sand (Dirt) traps. Especially on a Links course

Extremely poor playability due to ridiculous tournament
I’m sure this was an isolated incident but it was very disheartening to not be able to enjoy a round. Some “impossible “ tournament was being held The day we played. We were not aware of this until we checked in. The “impossible” pins were soooo stupid. They had pins on 45 degree slopes a pace off the fringe. You either make a miracle putt or you end up further from the pin than your first putt. I Would have appreciated a heads up about this tournament so I could have cancelled or the course management could have cut an additional pin for everyone else not playing the tournament. That day was a waste of money.

I’ve played here a number of times and what I like are the greens. However, I don’t think I’ve seen more ball marks on the greens in my 60 years of living. I don’t know how many putts took hopes off line. Apparently no one knows how to fix their ball marks. Very sad because they have a nice course.

Wonderful Course
Awesome fairways. Nice uniform grass and the greens all roll perfectly. Had a great time for my first time and even broke 100 for my second time. Can’t wait to play again.

Greens and Bunker issues
40 dollars for the round with a cart is such a great deal to pass up. However, the course conditions were poor and unkempt. Starting from the driving range. None of the set up driving range spots had good grass. The putting green was in spectacular shape. However, that did not translate out toward the course. The greens were not consistent due to numerous unfixed divot marks and dead spots. I could never figure out the correct break or roll due to these issues. Every bunker shot needs to be played by picking it clean because there was no sand. Had a unfortunate miss on 15 that went bunker but turned into an impossible shot because I had to pick it clean and land it soft because I was only 8 yards away. Other than those two crucial issues, the layout is great and you will be rewarded if you are consistently in the fairway.
