Cabo San Lucas Country Club

The outside cart attendants and starter were very friendly. The lady in the proshop was not friendly at all. Almost like she didn’t care for us because we prepaid with Golf Now. I have had the same issue every time I’ve played there.

When I played on 10-20-22, the greens were slow, bumpy and inconsistent. Fairways were ok but had a lot of areas that you needed to take a free drop both in fairway and in rough. Would not recommend it and it was not a good place to play for the price.

I had played this course last year when it was in much better shape. Now it is below average with bumpy greens that are not rolled and unevenly cut. I got truer rolls on the fairways which were in decent shape. Would not recommend course for the price the way it is now.

Driving in it looked like it was abandoned. Played the front by myself at about 1.5 hours. Then caught a couple foursomes and limped in following them; not that I expected to play through. There was no place to go. Course like a low end muni. Paid $125 through my hotel and rental clubs were $45 for an old, beat up set of TaylorMade clubs.

First let me say that the staff was courteous and friendly. We were however charged $50 per player more than the Golfnow quote of $125 per player. The greens were in rough shape and EXTREMELY slow. My group made the best of it and had fun but would not recommend others book there until management has an opportunity to repair the greens and thicken some of the grass in fairways. The course was not worth the $175 green fee and the rental clubs were dated and worn.

Unfortunately the course is in poor condition. Grasses not maintained, sandtraps with stone, weed, dirt, greens marked and not maintained. Even driving range in poor condition. I had been there pre-COVID and it was much nicer then. With some upkeep it could be a great course. Glad I got a discounted rate to play thru Golfnow.

This course has a lot of potential but was in only Muni shape. Fairways were very average and greens were acceptable. With a little work, this could be a really nice course. It's very rough around the edges.

Club. Awful shape, trash food, nice valet and bartenders. Quit after five holes it was torture probably the most under kept course in Baja.

Beat up track with lots of weeds and high grown grass on tee boxes or no grass at all.

No golfers at all playing at noon 5 times in front or in back of us.

We had the whole course to ourselves.

The price was cheap so we couldn’t complain too much.

Staff was very pleasant. Yet I wouldn’t recommend this course. The back nine had a better semi viewing of the ocean. I hope they get better in maintaining the grass and plants , but who knows.

Play this course if beauty doesn’t matter and you just want cheaper golf. Go with an open mind and just have fun

I booked a hot deal and got on for $68 a piece at 12:30. Rental clubs were an additional $35. Golf balls were $15 a sleeve. The staff at the course were very nice. The golf course was in average shape the greens were in great condition. The tee boxes on the other hand, half of them needed to be mowed down. For the cost, I would come back here. If I was paying full price, I would have to think about it.

My son and I wanted to get one more round in without dropping another $200+ On a round. We found a good hot deal for around $68. Course was drier that most we played and greens had been sanded recently like in the last week or two. They were still bumpy and a little furry but rolled okay. We had a blast and the staff were super friendly. BEV cart only passed us once during our 3 hr round. They gave us 4 waters when we started and we grabbed a couple beers to start. Got a few more waters at the turn as it was hot. Overall a cheaper option and like moats munis in the states. I wouldn’t expect pristine if booking.

The front nine was in pretty tough shape. The greens had just been sanded. Didn’t look like pins are changed more than once a week. Fairways are wide. Course design is fine.

The back nine was much nicer. Greener and the greens were better. Pace of play was excellent. Only took us a little over 3 hours. We played through 2 groups.

Staff was friendly. Booked a hot deal on Golf Now for $75 a piece. I think they were charging $220 a person (which would be ridiculous for the course conditions). They let us tee off early.

Range was OK. I’d say the overall condition would be like a mid range municipal course in the states.

I chose this course because it caters to all skill levels and is one of the best valued courses. I had never played it before during my multiple visits to Cabo.

It is not a perfect conditioned course with some areas of the fairways a bit bare. The ball runs well though in the fairways. The greens are also not perfect and maintained a bit long so putts are slow but they hold well. There are some great views of Cabo and the entire staff was awesome. We stopped afterward for a margaritas and nachos that were outstanding. There is a generous practice area and putting green. This course is not Quivira with spectacular views and conditions but it is a good value with a decent layout and friendly to all skill levels. We enjoyed our day playing here.
