Gillette Ridge

Great condition especially with all the rain we got.Pace of play was good . Friendly staff i definitely recommend gillete ridge.

Tee boxes, greens, and fairways were all in excellent shape, but this is a tough course. Each hole is completely different from the last with tough greens and narrow fairways. If you are in CT and are looking for a challenge, this is your course. I will definitely be back to take on this course again. Also, the guy in the clubhouse was super personable and friendly. Always an added bonus when coming from out of town.

The course flipped the front and back nine which was a nice change. For the time of year, the course is in great shape. Rough but fun course

They let an 8some out two groups before us, made the round take 5.5 hours, the group in front of us had to leave early because it was practically pitch black out. Not coming back

This course is very natural and aesthetically pleasing, with marshes and barrancas and elevation changes. It is in decent but not top notch condition. My main complaint is that the course is uneven in difficulty. The first 15 holes were quite difficult, with a good many blind shots, but doable if you hit the ball where you were looking. The last 3 holes were impossible, at least for a 76 year old 18 handicap like me. I enjoyed myself overall, but was over my head at the end of my round. I suspect it would become easier with some practice and greater familiarity. Still, a very enjoyable day.

Thought 60 bucks sounded like a decent deal, hadn’t played Gillette Ridge in several years and I quickly remembered why. Condition of the course was subpar considering the weather as of late. Grounds crew were extremely intrusive throughout our round performing meaningless tasks right in our path of play. Watering and mowing greens while we are trying to hit our approach shots. Overpriced for what it is right now and staff were confrontational and rude. Steer clear of at all possible. Plenty of better tracks nearby.

My son took me to Gillette Ridge. Course was in good shape. We had a great time. Staff was super friendly. Pace of play was a little slow. All in all we will be back.

Everyone from pro shop to the starter to the cart girl were outstanding. Pace was just around 4 hrs for 18. Can’t say enough good things about this day. Thanks Gillette. Will surely play again

I was very surprised to find the course in pretty darn good condition after reading a couple of negative reviews. I did get a Hot Deal and used a $10 reward to get the $33 greens fee. I found the fairways and greens

in great shape. All of the traps were filled with sand and recently raked. The only thing I saw that someone might complain about was the edges of holes where grass had grown very long was recently cut down to six or inches. I like this course and will play it many more times this summer.

Ended up walking 10 miles due to stubborn friends and too many lost balls (my fault) but the course is in immaculate condition and very challenging but fun layout. Definitely bring your A game

Gilette Ridge is a great course. Challenging and in great condition. Definitely one of the higher end courses around. I put it on the same level as wintonbury, the ranch, crumpin etc. it’s a $100 course that plays for $50 or lower on GOLFNOW.

Course is in great shape and pace of play was about 4 hours which is excellent for a holiday morning.
