Westdale Hills Golf Course

About
Originally the “elite” Sotogrande Country Club, a fancy 1960s par 3 track that was the finest of its kind in Texas, Westdale Hills was given new life in the late 1990s after being run down and abandoned. Part of the Westdale Hills apartment complex, the course plays around a lake, with water coming into play on most holes if you’re really hacking it up. Only three holes force a carry of the water. A few bunkers allow you to work on your short game, and the well-kept Bermuda greens can get pretty quick depending on the time of year.
Getting there : From DFW Airport, take 183 to North Richland Hills and exit Central. Dead end at Pipeline and turn right. Drive about ½ mile to El Camino Real, and turn left into the apartment complex.

Nice Course
This is a nice little 9 hole course it's a walking course no carts they do have pull carts but it's a nice little course for $5 great deal
Par 3 Paradise
The perfect place to play if you want to learn to score better. Most all holes play into an elavated green so you will have to carry the ball into the greens which are.soft and receltive The greens roles very.true
If you have not played here you should come checkoff out This is.not your typical par 3 golf coarse
Most improved par 9 in DFW
It's been a long time since I played this couse and WOW, what an improvement. Great course to challenge your short game.
Disappointed
Rating this course a D today. Flags were missing on all greens, sue to new guy locking himself out of office and unable to reach others. Also this course is yet to have any drinking water on the course. Also ran into some very slow twosome that didn't seem to care if you were having to wait on them.
Course is CLOSED
This course has ceased operations
Needs better maintenance
Not a well maintained course. The grass is dry and many places it is just bare, dry soil. They have a good layout. Good for Par-3 plays and working on your accuracy. If maintained well, this could be good for those quick < 2 hour plays.
Worse, in this Texas Heat, for a walk only course, there is no drinking water on the course. First time, I have played a course in Texas that does not make drinking water available on the course.
This was awful
Greens were terrible. Walking path only and there is no path from hill to hill. Overall it was a terrible experience. Definitely would not recommend to anyone in the area.
Short game heaven
Great place to work on your shirt game and accuracy!!
Longest hole is 180 yard so you don't need all you r clubs in your bag. Great place to work on short game and accuracy, very hilly and lots of water. Greens were fast and some had Tricky brakes. For as much Raina's we have had they were not in the best of shape but it is early in the year!
Pretty good value
the greens could use a little work, but I will definitely play again! the course was good for the price and it was nice to just go out and walk a few holes without needing all my clubs.
Save your money...I have seen cow pastures in better shape
Probably the worst golf course I have ever played...par 3 course, the greens hardly had any grass on them, some greens were only mud...outrageous price of $13 to play this armpit of a course and to top it off $5 for a walking cart...tee boxes were the only positive I have to say about this course
Very Challenging 3 Par Course
First time playing at Westdale Hills, it was very challenging but Very Fun to play. Lost a lot of balls to the water...lol Will definitely play there again.
Great course
Fun challenging, well kept walking course, will return.
Fun and Challenging
Course was in good shape when we played. My son and I had a great time.
Great short game practice
The longest club you will use is maybe 6 iron once. All the other holes play shorter...Good short game course
Quick little practice course
Not a horrible course. Very cheap to play. Very good if you're looking for a quick round after work, great place to work on your short game. Depending on how far you hit your clubs you may not need more than an 8 iron. I play here often, something I can stop by and get a quick round in, plus good for exercise since there are no carts. Course conditions are ok. Don't expect the world, but don't forget how much you're paying.
Make an investment and spend more money elsewhere
For $10 it was ok. I honestly wouldn't go back. I would much rather spend more money and play on nicer greens.
The course is challenging fo a pa 3 only. Need to get the tee box markers in place for distance.
The course is challenging. The only problem I saw was the guys that were mowing the tee box area was just throwing the markers back anywhere. You can't play another 9 without paying full price....smh

That's weak. You must be a pro if the markers mean so much to you. I think to play the back nine it's $7.00. So save your $ and buy a GPS.
Sorry for your experience. Their pump for the sprinkler system broke down and is being replaced. Maybe you saw the grounds crew watering by hand?
There is water on the course. It is by the third tee box and there is a water cooler in bathroom by 5 tee box.
