About
The Wildhorse Golf Club is the first of three planned courses for the Robson Ranch Community outside of Denton. Designed by architect Gary Stephenson, the course opened the second nine in October 2002.
The signature hole is on the front, a 566-yard par 5 that requires a monster drive followed by two demanding approach shots.
Getting there : From Dallas take I-35 to Denton and look for the 35 W split. This takes you back towards the south to Fort Worth for 6 miles, where you’ll take the Robson Ranch exit. Drive 1.5 miles west and look for the course.

Worth the return trip
Third time to play Wildhorse. Disappointed on previous time because I caught them after an aeration/sanding and recent cut of overgrown grass. HOWEVER, found a good HotDeal and gave it another shot. Worth the trip. Everything is green and neat and in excellent shape. Really enjoyed the round. Staff is always super friendly and helpful. hopefully make it out agin this year.
Environmental "too" friendly
The course and staff were great, but it is crazy to hit a ball on bare ground in one of these areas and not being to walk into those areas and pick it up is just too much. I lost 5 balls in areas that had been mowed to bare ground and saw dozens of balls in these areas that could easily be picked up with no issue on again bare ground..
Guess yout should hit it inbounds more. Course rules are course rules.

Great Course to challenge your golf skills
It had been over a year since I played this course last and the improvement that I saw playing it on September 8, 2019 was amazing. The bunkers were all white sand and the fairways were excellent as the ball sat up for you. I would recommend this to any golfer that is looking for a great round of golf and a great 19th hole. The club house and restaurant overlooks the eighteen fairway and green and has a great patio to sit out in and enjoy your favorite drink and food.

It was cart path only account of rain that morning and the evening before.The weather was very hot and humid.Takes a lot out of a 68 year old man.I will make sure it’s cooler weather before I play there again and not cart path only.Like the course just saw more of it than I wanted to account of all the walking.Nice layout and the course was in great shape just a shock to see it cart path only in the middle of August in Texas.

I very much enjoyed this course. Condition was fantastic even after aeration. The week prior. Yes a little bumpy but cut , rolled , and sanded with care. Thank you to maintenance crew. Staff was helpful and friendly. Only complaint is that quick food shop closes at 2 pm and bar /grill closed at 4. Pro shop has beer available but would have loved some good food and a cocktail after the round. (Rumors say most golfers at this course play early and course clears by 2ish. ). If ya don’t mind heat play afternoon for great value and quick round. Also as a bonus they were having a great golf polo shirt giveaway with tee times between 12-4. Will play here again soon.

Nice setting, challenging
The layout of the course provides golfers of all levels a challenge. The fairways are well kept. White sand traps in "annoying" spots, as they should be.
Excellent driving range and large practice putting green.
The course side houses are far enough off the fairways that only an unfortunate shot would get near them.
The food in the restaurant is excellent.

Great shape
Everything is in great shape. Tips are challenging but you can post a good score. When the wind is above 15+, it makes for challenging day. Greens are pretty quick. I play this course at least once a month.

Great course
The course was great. Greens were fast. It’s a pretty open course with quiet a few sand traps. Pace was slow because of group in front of us. But overall a great time!! Staff was super friendly and helpful as it was my first time playing there.
