Wildhorse Golf Club of Robson Ranch - South/West Course

We will be adding this course to our list of regular places to play

The course layout was nice and staff SUPER friendly. The greens were in good shape, but most tee boxes needs improvement. It just wasn't a $50.00 round of golf, especially after I drove an hour to get there. And lastly, the Clubhouse closes at 4 so forget about getting something to eat afterwards. I wished someone had said something to us in advance so we could have planned ahead, I was starving ;-(

Course and staff awesome. Pace slow but it was friday with perfect weather so a little crowded. Ladies behind us were impatient and rude. Other than that awesome time and great value.

Overall course in good shape Greens rolled true and hold shots. The one negative the rough just off the fairway was mowed at 4 inches and thick ' I lost 2 balls and it was very tough to get out of for a weekend golfer.

Cool and beautiful area. Every courses have nice lay out and well managed condition!!!!

What a tremendous experience this was - from the staff to the resident threesome I joined, to the clubhouse grill( great clam chowder)! The course was in fabulous shape. The greens were receptive, but true. Fresh white sand in all of the bunkers. Fairways provided great lies, and the rough was punishing, but not too severe. we tted off at 7:10 am and were walking off the 18th green at 10:40 am. Every aspect of my experience at Robson Ranch was memorable. This is one of the best courses I have played in the DFW area, and I can't wait to play here again!!

It's been 8 months since I last played at Wildhorse. Very impressed with the renovation of the Pro shop, restaurant and bar area. Service was great and food was excellent. The white sand bunkers are a sight for sore eyes best in the Metroplex. Seemed like I was in most of them. My fault for sure. Give it a try I think you'll like it. Play in the afternoon for a quick 18. The retirees take all the AM slots and are slow. No offense intended.

Great course but GPS was not in the cart and I paid over 50$ and thought it should be in the carts for the green fees charged! Also the rough off the fairway was really thick so you better hit straight here or you will lose a lot of golfballs! I lost almost two sleeves and most of my hits were just off the fairway!! Greens were really spectacular though!

The course is in excellent shape. Greens are very nice.

The course is in very nice condition. Fairly easy layout but can become difficult in windy days. No trees to kill the breeze.

The pace of play was VERY SLOW, 5 hours to be exact, the group in front of us was very slow. They were 25 handicappers and playing from the blue tees. I told the marshall and he got an attitude with me. There were 2 holes in front of us. He told me that is the pace of play on the weekends. He also told me he had been working as a marshall for 4 years and I was out of line for wanting the group to keep up with play...all this while 3 groups were waiting to tee off.

Course was ok, probably overplayed a lot of tight lies in the fairway, cool design, I shot my handicap, 7 over...I might play again under better circumstances.

Depending on the weather, wind and time of day this course can be quite challenging. Fun course, not one cart person showed up for beverages...thank goodness there was a lot of water in the jugs on the course. IF there wasn't we would have withered away out there in the 98 degree weather.

Had bad experience caused by member who tried to tell me I started on wrong hole. Chased me down in the fairway and interrupted my round. Called the pro shop to verify I was correct. He never apologized. A lot of the members there r rude and unfriendly. Good course to play if u can avoid running into them. Marshall did apologize to me.

I've been to this course many times since it has opened and this is the poorest shape the greens have been in when I have played it. I appreciate them punching the greens just not telling me and charging me full price.

A great place, course layout and conditions in great shape.

Not only a great course to retire on, but a great community. Being a 20-year old, I was surprised by the welcoming conversations I had. I am usually not one to comment on staff/member friendliness, but this course has such a positive impact that it's worth noting.

Course: Course is short for a player that normally plays the back tees. At 6,800 yards, I had a lot of wedge shots into greens after hitting just three woods and hybrids. The course also lacks trouble, as water and houses rarely come into play, trees are sparse. That being said, pretty expected from a retirement community course. Fairways and bunkers were in great shape. Greens however a little on the slow side. Pretty plain layout, couldn't pick out a signature hole because none of them really stood out, but overall, good experience and I recommend you go and try it out.

Got to play on a cool overcast day which kept a lot of people away. Done in 3 hrs. Course is in great shape. Not too hard for better golfers. Can easily play from the tips on this one. Staff very friendly. Getting to first hole confusing. Ask pro shop for directions if a first timer. ! hole on back nine had temp. tee box and was not informed by pro shop and no signage at hole. We teed it up from actual tee boxes. Ooooops.

All in all it was worth the drive and price. Did not use any other facilities but I assume they are average. Thanks Golfnow and your hot deals.

First time experience was great. A fun golf course with wide fairways which helps keep the pace reasonable. Very friendly staff.
