Wildhorse Golf Club of Robson Ranch - South/West Course

If you haven't played Robson Ranch lately you owe it to yourself to go play it.

The greens are in unbelievable shape and the tee boxes and fairways were lush.

We play courses across the DFW area and this was by far the best course conditions we have experienced in 2015!

ALthough windy on this day, the course is forgiving but challenging layout. Greens are hard and fast and in great shape. Overall course is in great shape and all employees were overly friendly and accommodating. Unfortunate that 18's lakeside green is currently under construction and shortens the hole to a par three but it looks to be opening back soon for play. That will be a nice challenging finishing hole.

My son and I played this course for the first time this weekend, and I wish I had found it sooner because it's one of the better we've played around the metroplex. It's an easy 30 minute drive up I-35 to Argyle from anyone near DFW or north Fort Worth. Played Saturday and only got in 12 holes due to rain, so we went back Sunday because we enjoyed it so much. Wildhorse is in FANTASTIC condition with beautifully manicured greens that roll fast and true, and very well-maintained bunkers. The few trees on this course are immature and rarely come into play, but there's plenty of water hazards to keep the course challenging. We played the blue tees which have several very long holes making the total yardage 6409. Holes 2 and 12 are both long par 5's which require a solid drive to clear the water hazards and not reachable in 2 for most golfers. We completed our Sunday round in just over 3 hours and never saw anyone on the course after we played through a group on #5! What more could you ask for?

Greens are quick but receptive. Fairways are tight and in excellent condition. Great course for the money and well worth the drive.

The course is a great track. The greens were in perfect condition. Lot's of variety in the holes and a course you want to navigate rather than trying to overpower. A true thinking man's golf course. Take what the course will give you. Driver is not the club of choice on a few of the par fours.

This course is in best shape of any place in the Metroplex. The greens are fantastic and very quick. I highly recommend.

It's one of my favorite courses. The 9th hole is being redesigned so it is now a temporary par 3. What is to come after completion looks to be great.

Nice community golf course. Well maintained. Greens had been aerated and sanded recently so they were a little bumpy but it did not distract from the overall experience. I would definitely play there again. Lots of water and refreshments and ice on the course which was appreciated on such a hot summer day.

Excellent condition except for temporary green on # 9 on Wildhorse. Friendly staff, well stocked Pro Shop. Would absolutely play again when in the D/FW area.

Excellent time very upscale and friendly very challenging holes great course for the price with an upscale feel all around I'll continue to play this course

Arrived 1 hour early , hit range balls , putted and practiced in extremely nice practice facility ! Sand bunker and chipping area! Thanks to golf now had a amazing experience ! Thank you !

Great course and great conditions. Playing this course multiple times will make it that much better.

I did not rate food and beverage service because we went 18 holes in 98 degree weather and never saw a beverage cart. Course is short, repetitive and boring. No trees, wide open. Greens were in good shape, quick and not much break.

We did not get to play b/c the course was closed for maintenance. We played a week later and they were aerifying. Some bad luck b/c this course normally has some of the better greens in the Metroplex. And the fairways look like the Nelson. Very well maintained. However, Bunkers do need some work.

Been wanting to play this course for some time and finally had the time + GolfNow deal. Started as a single but paired with 3 Robson Ranch residents and it was, by day, the most fun I've had on a course since relocating to DFW!! Clubhouse folks, Marshall, Cart Girl, all just GREAT!! The course itself is a moderate challenge, plenty of doglegs, bunkers, and water but not too overwhelming. Greens were punched several weeks ago and once they're filled, the greens will roll true and fast. 5 tee boxes and homes never come into play. There's a temporary green on 9 but when it's done that will be one fun par 4!! Will certainly be back to play this one again....sooner than later!!!

Robison ranch is always a great last minute golf course. It is usually not very busy except Saturday and Sunday mornings. Most of the residents play at that time and will not let singles play through.

Other than the greens being recently punched and bumpy, the course was great.
