Wildhorse Golf Club of Robson Ranch - South/West Course

About
The Wildhorse Golf Club is the first of three planned courses for the Robson Ranch Community outside of Denton. Designed by architect Gary Stephenson, the course opened the second nine in October 2002.
The signature hole is on the front, a 566-yard par 5 that requires a monster drive followed by two demanding approach shots.
Getting there : From Dallas take I-35 to Denton and look for the 35 W split. This takes you back towards the south to Fort Worth for 6 miles, where you’ll take the Robson Ranch exit. Drive 1.5 miles west and look for the course.

Great Condition
The course is in great condition. My only criticism is that they put groups out in front of us when making the turn that drastically slowed the pace of play. The starter said he was trying to fit people in. 2 hours to play the front 2:45 to play the back. Everyone was friendly and the course was nice but the pace made the back nine less enjoyable.
Great course in great condition
Wildhorse is always in great shape, but even more so after the recent rains. This is probably the best manicured course I've played. The greens were perfect! Wildhorse has become our favorite course in DFW. Thank you!
Never suprised
Lives up to expectations every time. Thoroughly enjoy everything about this course.
Not worth the money
Good condition but layout is lame. Don’t play the north course. South layout is a bit more interesting. It a course in a retiree community and you can see that the layout is to favor pace of play and is boring as anything you can play. For 60 would be fair, for 135, I felt robbed. So many way better courses in DFW that you can play for less than 100 on a weekend morning.
Not worth the money
Good conditions, but lame layout. I played north and south courses. South is better than the north. Not worth the drive, not the money.
Great DFW course
Really nice course. Practice facilities were in great condition. Yeah the chipping green isn’t big, but the putting green is huge and the range was nice and the real grass was in great shape and true to the fairways on the actual course. Course itself was in great condition. Bunkers were well maintained. Greens were firm and rolled true. Pace of play wasn’t bad at all for a public course. Highly recommend.
Sold course
Good course, good layout. Only negative I would mention is the chipping green is small and hardly any grass anywhere around it to practice.
DFW Favorite
This is my son’s favorite DFW course. It’s a must play every time I come to visit, which is about twice a year. The conditions, the layout and the greens are all top notch. It’s a little pricey, but definitely worth it.
Very good condition for winter golf.
They did a great job keeping the greens in fantastic condition for winter golf. This place was hard to beat.
Christmas golf
Course was wet, lots of rain. But, good grass, greens true, traps nice. Good layout
Winter Golf
The greens were in excellent condition and rolled medium speed. Great for Golf at Christmas time!
Great course amd well kept. Awesome course for the price.
Played on a Monday morning starting out as a single. Was cold and foggy at 8am. Spoke to the starter and waited out about 2 hours and was paired with 2 members. This was an excellent choice for several reasons. After playing the West course there is no way I would have found the North course.
I played another course day before not mention here but it was night and day for a minimal price difference. The tee boxes, fairways, immaculate greens and soft bunker sand made this a 10 out of 10 for me.
If you have to make a choice between courses make this a preference. Definitely coming back next time I'm in town. Traveled from Atlanta and was impressed.
Unfortunately I tore my calf muscle I believe around the 14th hole hopping over a little revene and ended in the ER. Managed to play it out on 1 leg, wasn't pretty but finished.
Great Course
Great course and staff was very very helpful. Really helped me out a lot with enjoying a great round of golf. I was paired with two really good guys that didn’t slow us down one bit. Tee boxes and greens were in great shape. I would definitely recommend this course to everyone. Great golf club with some great employees working there at Course.
Solid Course
This course never disappoints. We played the West and North course which is fairly easy but very enjoyable. The course is always in great shape and the pace is comfortable. I would highly recommend and will be back soon
