Golf course was in fair to good condition!! I woul recommend to friends!!!
What has happened to Lakes Course?
Not sure what’s going on with the dead mowed grass all over the fairways, and the strange burn marks resembling an airport runway or a highway median, but the grounds crew has really burned up this once beautiful course. The Sup might want to drive around both courses and see what’s going on. Some of the fairways on front 9 look almost like hay. This course was immaculate just 3 weeks ago. With all the rain we’ve had the last 2 months, this course should not look as torched as it does. Links in some areas is the same way. These strange burned tick marks all up and down each hole. Too intentional to have been a fuel leak from mowers. This place looks really bad all of a sudden, and we aren’t even in the dog days of summer yet. Hope they get this fixed and fast.
Good shape
The course is in great shape. The staff is always amazing.
Love Squaw Valley
Squaw Valley is such a nice place to play. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming.
Favorite Course on Property
I liked CL the most of the two. It has the better layout and the better greens from a design standpoint. The conditions could be better, but for the price I would still recommend.
Course in decent shape
There are a few rough areas on the greens and the fairways but overall in descent shape
5 hour round on a Wednesday
Course is in good shape and greens are spotty in places with winter poa annua. Pace was 2:10 for front nine and group behind us decided to skip a hole and joined with the slow twosome ahead to make a group of 5 for our back nine. We waited behind them for every shot so back nine holes was 2:50 pace. Called the clubhouse but they don’t have a marshal. Nice day but the 10:51 group of 3 inconsiderate old men made it a super slow round by skipping ahead.

SLOW
Typical course condition for this time of year, T-boxes rough condition, Fairways pretty decent, Greens held ok but really rough and bumpy tough to putt on. Biggest complaint was the 5 hour round, three groups in front of us as told by starter were playing as a 5 some, and they all were very very slow

Greens need Love
The greens have problems. Lots of weeds make the ball jump around when putting.
