About
The Resort Golf Club is one of Fort Worth's finest golfing destinations. The course sprawls across the rolling hills of north Texas and wraps around the shores of Eagle Mountain Lake. Mature live oaks line the narrow fairways, providing some tight holes with difficult shot selections that demand accuracy, but there are also holes with open, more forgiving tees. Golfers will want to make sure they bring a strong iron game when playing this golf course since there rock walls and bunkers strategically bordering the raised greens. There are also water hazards that come into play along the greensides and fairways. It is a golf course that will reward skill and strategy over strength alone. The 16th is one of the toughest holes but with a good approach and a bit of luck, there is an opportunity for a birdie.

Not what I expected
I know it has been a tough summer so dried out fairways are not surprising. However, playing courses like Prairie Lakes, Southern Oaks and Irving GC, they weren’t as challenged. Greens at the resort were good. Fringes good. However very hard fairways that if not hit perfectly would bounce the club hard. Very tight course and some holes seem crammed in there. Not my favorite but price wasn’t bad.

the whole curse was too dry, just the greens were in good conditions

Fairways are concrete
The greens were in pretty good shape, but the fairways … Grass was cut short and with the heat we have been having the fairways were not in good shape. Couldn’t get a tee in the ground on first tee box, kinda sets the tone for the rest of the day. With some moisture the course would be better.

Fun!
Above average course layout. Tee boxes and fairway were brown due to watering restrictions. Every green was in great shape and fast. I'd play here again!

Fun course
Had some fun playing this course. Had some challenging holes and a few wide fairways. Fairways are in condition. Greens are firm and fast.

Overall Good
We had some people, most likely local members who were practicing on the course. Hitting multiple bunker shots on 15 with us on the tee waiting, then rounded all his balls up by chipping them to the next tee box. Had another guy just skipping around playing random holes, some ahead of us then some behind but casually driving back and forth on holes we were on. Nice course, great staff, we would play again.

Name of greens
Love the names of each green. Think Twice green. Will definitely make you think twice before going to play that hole.

Lots of standing water, and had not rained!
Greens in exceptional shape. Most impressed with them. The inordinate amount of standing water in the middle of the fairways made for a sloppy time. We were the first or second group off that morning at 6:40am. We appreciated the efforts to repair the areas that needed it but there are so many areas that need it!
I enjoyed my round but would warn folks of the course conditions and expectations.

Not bad but not great
First off, the guy at pro shop is not friendly at all.
The condition of the rough is better than fairway. Signage is not clear enough
