About
The Resort Golf Club is one of Fort Worth's finest golfing destinations. The course sprawls across the rolling hills of north Texas and wraps around the shores of Eagle Mountain Lake. Mature live oaks line the narrow fairways, providing some tight holes with difficult shot selections that demand accuracy, but there are also holes with open, more forgiving tees. Golfers will want to make sure they bring a strong iron game when playing this golf course since there rock walls and bunkers strategically bordering the raised greens. There are also water hazards that come into play along the greensides and fairways. It is a golf course that will reward skill and strategy over strength alone. The 16th is one of the toughest holes but with a good approach and a bit of luck, there is an opportunity for a birdie.

Hard!
Beautiful course but I’ve never seen tougher fairways like these. Hard as concrete!!! Either it’s not watered enough or it’s cut too short. But defeats the whole purpose of hitting fairways. You’re better off out of the rough….it’s softer lol

The Resort was in very good condition. The greens were fabulous, moderately fast and very smooth. The fairways were pretty green (sometimes this course gets a little dried out and the fairways suffer). All in all it was is tip top shape.

Worth Playing
Pretty good golf club for residents and outsiders alike. Membership prices are reasonable. You will have to check in with security, so I recommend booking ahead.

Disappointed this round!
The front nine was great and pace was excellent but once I got to hole 11, there were several women foursomes bunched together and the pace slowed to a full halt. I was a single and they ignored everything behind them and didn’t let anyone play through as they stood around socialized and took their time hitting. After 20 minutes (yes, I timed it) I got in my cart and skipped to hole 13. Disappointed to miss two holes and that the groups were rude. This seems to be a one off as I’ve had no problems before.

Resort golf course
Golf course is an average course and worth the money if you go when it’s not crowded. Went Saturday and no one was regulating who was playing. After playing 7 holes I left because the hole ahead of us had four different groups on it and this was the same for the next few holes. Left after only playing seven because there was way too many people. My tee time was 3 and I ended up teeing of with 8 people teeing off at the same time. Not sure how they regulate it but they should. I have played here before and it’s actually a decent course when you can actually play! Will return just not on weekends.

Disappointed
5 hr round on a late Friday afternoon. Teed off at 2:40 and would not have finished if we had not jumped a group on 16.
Course was surprising hard and dry and I was not a fan of the layout.

Great course
Very nice course that was well maintained despite the drought. Speed of play was pretty good. The cart girl should’ve come more than the one time to offer drinks. She was out of ice and water and it was 95+.
