About
The Resort Golf Club is one of Fort Worth's finest golfing destinations. The course sprawls across the rolling hills of north Texas and wraps around the shores of Eagle Mountain Lake. Mature live oaks line the narrow fairways, providing some tight holes with difficult shot selections that demand accuracy, but there are also holes with open, more forgiving tees. Golfers will want to make sure they bring a strong iron game when playing this golf course since there rock walls and bunkers strategically bordering the raised greens. There are also water hazards that come into play along the greensides and fairways. It is a golf course that will reward skill and strategy over strength alone. The 16th is one of the toughest holes but with a good approach and a bit of luck, there is an opportunity for a birdie.

Tee Boxes
The tee boxes were so hard had to pound the tree's into the ground, i guess I should have taken a hammer with me to get.my trees into ground.

Finally some turf in the fairway
1st time this year I’ve had decent fairways to hit from. Little drive to get there, but worth it

Fairly decent shape!
Had the course to ourselves on a Sunday mid-day, high temp around 90s, with wind gusts 25 mph. The first green spooked us as it has a bad growth of some sort? But the rest of the course was fine, nice and green!
We saw the beverage cart often. The round was 3.25 hours.

Great course!

Almost
People have talked about this course and I finally went and played. I enjoyed the layout and the teeing options, with a nice range to warm up on and a smallish putting green that was pretty close to how the actual greens played. The greens were decent but definitely needs some TLC. They did hold okay but they were really bumpy and inconsistent from hole to hole. The teeboxes where pretty dry and difficult getting tees in the ground but they did have good turf and weren't just dirt. The sand traps use a really different sand from most and it can take some getting used to if you don't play out of them much. The fairways were ok but really dry and many drives rolled out into the rough, which was not terrible in most cases. A few areas where they are working on the course but nothing to distracting. I think with a bit of care and good spring weather this course will be worth another play.

Excellent Track
Staff was friendly and helpful, course was in good shape for this time of year. Looks to have great potential if watered properly. Tee boxes were very hard to put a tee in, but overall a challenging course with a mixture of large wide open fairways to very tight tree lined fairways. Plenty of elevation, water and sand is present on most holes. Would play again.

First Impression
Played the first half pretty parched without a cart girl, turns out they didn’t have enough girls on staff. Definitely understand.
Course is quite confusing.. there needs to be a large map of where each of the holes are on the back of the score card. Although, great, well maintained course.
Lastly, we were only a party of two and we literally running around to make sure parties behind us weren’t waiting around.
