About
The Resort Golf Club is one of Fort Worth's finest golfing destinations. The course sprawls across the rolling hills of north Texas and wraps around the shores of Eagle Mountain Lake. Mature live oaks line the narrow fairways, providing some tight holes with difficult shot selections that demand accuracy, but there are also holes with open, more forgiving tees. Golfers will want to make sure they bring a strong iron game when playing this golf course since there rock walls and bunkers strategically bordering the raised greens. There are also water hazards that come into play along the greensides and fairways. It is a golf course that will reward skill and strategy over strength alone. The 16th is one of the toughest holes but with a good approach and a bit of luck, there is an opportunity for a birdie.

In surprisingly sold shape
I play here once or twice per year. What stops me from
Playing more traditionally is the conditioning. Not today it was pretty darn good!
Greens were smother and medium speed (there all you can ever ask for). Bunkers were also in decent shape. Fairways were drying out but were still in fine shape also
Best shape I have seen this course in a long time. Well worth the money
Good time
Joined up with two other singles, We had a good time. Pace of play was a 3 hour round.

The course was in great shape and the greens were excellent. The layout was challenging as always for a high handicapper but very playable. It was a great deal all around!

Worst layout of a golf course
Absolutely not worth the price. This is probably my least favorite course in dfw. I could have done a better job of laying out a golf course. You know how there is always that one poorly designed hole on a course, well this course probably has 9 of them. On some holes, when you leave the green, you have to drive straight back up the path you just came down to get to the next box (into people hitting approaches). The only thing I liked was that the greens were in good shape and rolled okay, albeit slow.

I love this course but yesterday there were a few issues with the grounds. The ground at tee boxes were so hard I literally couldn't put my tee in the ground on a few holes. And the greens on the practice green were not the same pace as the course. The greens on the course had patches of weeds or grass growing up that you can't putt over. Some of the traps are super soft sand, some are just dirt, making it impossible to know how to play out. Aside from that, I like this course. Good value and challenging holes.

Waiting...and waiting...
We've played this course before and our only complaints about it then were that it was a little out of the way to get to and that the course layout is sandwiched into the housing community in some areas (holes 5 & 6 and 11, 12, 14) - be sure to keep your head on a swivel while playing these holes... lol
We decided to give it another try yesterday and were highly disappointed by the pace of play. Starting out was normal, but once we got to hole 6, the box was stacked 4 groups deep and this continued the rest of the way. Total time to finish the course was about 5 hours. While I love being out on the golf course as much as possible, I do also enjoy a constant pace of play.
As has been mentioned by others, some of the tee boxes and fairways are in need of some water. They're doing a great job on the greens.
To sum it up, this course is challenging and fun and I recommend playing it at least once if you haven't. Just pray that pace of play isn't an issue during your round. The staff is great and the cart girls do a great job of coming around often. The 7th, 13th, & 16th holes IMO are the best on this course and will probably make you want to come back and play this course again.

Water the fairways!
Been playing there for about 2 years now and the greens are not the problem, they take good care of those. However they don't seem to want to spend any money on watering the tee boxes and fairways. They are as hard as packed clay can get. This is a problem course wide and not just some of the holes. The only good thing is it will add 50-100 yards to your shots
