The Resort Golf Club
About
The Resort Golf Club is one of Fort Worth's finest golfing destinations. The course sprawls across the rolling hills of north Texas and wraps around the shores of Eagle Mountain Lake. Mature live oaks line the narrow fairways, providing some tight holes with difficult shot selections that demand accuracy, but there are also holes with open, more forgiving tees. Golfers will want to make sure they bring a strong iron game when playing this golf course since there rock walls and bunkers strategically bordering the raised greens. There are also water hazards that come into play along the greensides and fairways. It is a golf course that will reward skill and strategy over strength alone. The 16th is one of the toughest holes but with a good approach and a bit of luck, there is an opportunity for a birdie.

Perfect conditions, layout and value
Really really great conditions, layout and darn good value for the $. The greens are in perfect condition as I don’t recall one bare spot and they rolled pretty darn well. Fairways and tees are also in very good condition. They are keeping in really nice shape. The pace of play was really good as well. Finally, putting all of that with a pretty good “Great Deal” really makes for a great day. Unfortunately, not my best golf on the front but came around nicely on the back nine. Great day!
Great Turnaround
I’m so impressed with the changes in the last 2 years. I think the super should win an award for the renovation of #9.
It had been awhile
Staff great, hadn’t played course in seven years however, best condition I have seen it except this bunkers but rack your spot it plays
Precision
Solid course. Can tell they've been working hard on it. Challenging course but not very long so it makes it fun. Will definitely come back.
Fun Round
First time playing at The Resort. Overall the course was in good shape. The layout is good save for a couple of holes that require you to wait for players from other holes to clear the fairway before you can go. The greens seemed to have been punched about a month ago and there is still inconsistency in how the ball rolls. The bunkers need to be redone. They are basically just dirt...not sand. Overall I enjoyed the round and meeting the players I was paired with. I'll play this course gain in the future.
Needs work
Have played this course many times and the course conditions have improved over the past couple of years. Clubhouse is nice, staff is friendly. My issue is with the condition of the tee boxes and traps. The traps in particular were ALL hard as concrete, to the point a rake could even scrape the surface to make a spot to swing at. It was obvious none of the sand traps had been turned over, raked or prepared in any way for quite some time. While I know a good golfer would stay out of the traps, when you do find yourself in one you’d like to think you would have half a chance to get out of it. Not so at this gold course. Probably won’t be back anytime soon as paying full weekend green fees I would expect the course to prepared to the same degree.
Great hidden gem in NW Fort Worth
It’s a really good course that is much more reasonably priced than other courses in the area. The food and drink are tasty, as well.
Good driving range, but lacking other true practice facilities. Bunkers on the course are hit or miss. Tee boxes were in really nice shape and the greens were pretty solid, especially in the 100+ degree daily heat.
Nice 4.5 hr round in 100+ temps...NOT
Have played here many times. Maybe 1 other time has it ever taken 4.5 hours. Ridiculous for this time of year. Marshall showed up on 12, absolutely worthless. Did nothing to improve pace of play. Lots of y'all don't understand what READY GOLF means, and you clowns ruin it for everyone behind you. Here's a clue! When you have 3 men & 1 woman thats learning to play, instead of waiting for the group in front of you to get at least 300 yds away, go ahead and have HER hit her teeshot so thats already done. But no, every hole , same stupidity. Hey course manager, how about you teach your starters and marshalls what ready golf is???
Correct position on a golf course is DIRECTLY BEHIND THE GROUP IN FRONT OF YOU, NOT DIRECTLY AHEAD OF THE GROUP BEHIND YOU!
Great course
Great course good food
Fun and challenging
Greens are typically lightning fast, they're still healing up from being punched but I see this course getting so much better over the next few years. It's fun and challenging, tight fairways small greens really makes you use your brain. Not exactly a hackers course, but a few holes open up. I enjoy playing here
Tough course
Best conditions I’ve ever seen out there!!! Bunkers aren’t the best but i didn’t hit 1 of them so no complaint. Grass everywhere!!!
