The Resort Golf Club
About
The Resort Golf Club is one of Fort Worth's finest golfing destinations. The course sprawls across the rolling hills of north Texas and wraps around the shores of Eagle Mountain Lake. Mature live oaks line the narrow fairways, providing some tight holes with difficult shot selections that demand accuracy, but there are also holes with open, more forgiving tees. Golfers will want to make sure they bring a strong iron game when playing this golf course since there rock walls and bunkers strategically bordering the raised greens. There are also water hazards that come into play along the greensides and fairways. It is a golf course that will reward skill and strategy over strength alone. The 16th is one of the toughest holes but with a good approach and a bit of luck, there is an opportunity for a birdie.

Greens need work
Very nice course overall. Great staff. Great value. Only complaint were a couple greens were in bad shape and some very bumpy
Course not maintained, Greens are diseased
Came back to this course as I enjoyed playing it last year; what I remembered was excellent layout and a course that was very well maintained. But the course if pretty run down now. The fairways are like cement in many spots with no grass; ok I did a pick and place at spots since I am no PRO and this is Texas. But when you reach the greens, things get even worse. Most greens have weeds so putting is more about luck. What is most vivid is Green #2 (Par 3) and Green #18 (Par 5); Green #2 is diseased which is not very difficult to fix but shows they dont maintain this course well; Green #5 is sanded on the front side so anything you hit pulls the ball right and luck of the draw if it will even go through to the hole. This course has promise, but it needs to overhaul its maintenance.
Old Favorite
Greens were in terrible shape, but everything else was (as always) was in great condition. Greens looked like they were recovering from sort of fungus or something, only 1 green was actually puttable. the rest were auto two putt. Will be back, its still a great course and a great value!
Terrible conditions
Since this cours always comes up on golf now, I finally gave it a try when I had time to drive 35 minuted from Fort Worth and that was a huge mistake. I’m not terribly picky about my courses, but this was AWFUL conditions and the greens were TERRIBLE! Putts would zig zag at random, which you would expect with so many bumps. I had one putt where I went across ~12 feet of sand-grass-sand-grass. Take it from someone whose not picky, it’s not worth playing here. Oh ya, and the tee boxes were so hard it was so difficult to get a tee in the ground.
Greens Need Work
I played at the Resort about 3 years ago, and the greens were in great shape. Putting aside the fact that the greens had been aerated about 1 week before I played this time, I can say that the greens were terrible. While a few were is reasonable shape, most had large bare patches and were mostly sand. Every putt was bumpy, and I watched my playing partner miss a 1 foot putt because the ball took a bump and a left turn at the cup. It appears that the course needs to do some serious work to get the greens in playing shape.
The Resort
We drove out from Carrollton and Las Colinas. This course is in need of grass and fertilizer. Many holes, you should not hit more than three wood from tee box. The greens had a problem that has been killed off. I hope they can get the grass to come back. It is not as bad as Tour 18, but not far from it.
The Resort
It a good layout but some of the greens had hard patchy areas. I would play again, but only in the early part of the day.
Disappointed.
Nobody told me that they had just sanded the greens. Fairways were in good shape. Have played several times and like the layout. I will probably go back, but not for a while.
Poyana
Only about 5 greens were good, the rest were recovering from poyana being killed off. Challenging course and in the past it played well, but this time the greens were poor...
Greens and Dead. Service reminds me of a someone not in the hospitality business.
Don't even try to play this course. All the greens are dead. Never seen anything like it. Either this club is going under or perhaps they need all new management. Played Sunday, one guy in the pro shop sitting on the couch watching TV. Same associate I met the last time. No personality. Bartender belongs driving a cab instead of the hospitality business. Terrible attitude and no personality. Clearly this club is being mismanaged and perhaps even is going to go under. Management wake up, your associates are terrible and your course needs to hire someone to take care of it. Even the cart guys have no personality. I wont play there again!! Horrible is an understatement. Your management and or HOA should fire the entire team of the property. Starting with its GM and on down to the food and beverage director. Watching what you guys have done to this club is a disgrace. Not even at $22 will I be back.
Greens are not good
dont pay full price for this course..greens are not good on most holes, and inconsistent.(Some have little grass, and some are bumpy from weeds) some holes had decent grass, but either they were not taken care of over the fall and early this year...nice layout.. I played the course a year ago, and it was much better then.
Surprised.
I have played this course several times and I had a good overall experience, however this past weekend (April 30, 2018) was a totally different experience. The greens are in HORRIBLE condition. I could not believe they were actually charging people to play. My son and I played two holes and promptly went back to the clubhouse to request a refund. I would not recommend this course at this time.
Tournament
To charge $60 for the greens they have it absolutely absurd. 'Greens' either have mounds of weeds on them or there is no grass at all.
Terrible greens
The course was in poor shape even considering early spring condition. The greens were terrible, half dead with Poa Anna clumps everywhere.
slow
nice course, bad greens, no martial's. so slow you could watch the grass grow but 2 groups ahead, you could see 3 holes open. no one to move things alone.
worst greens i've played on in years.
