The Resort Golf Club
About
The Resort Golf Club is one of Fort Worth's finest golfing destinations. The course sprawls across the rolling hills of north Texas and wraps around the shores of Eagle Mountain Lake. Mature live oaks line the narrow fairways, providing some tight holes with difficult shot selections that demand accuracy, but there are also holes with open, more forgiving tees. Golfers will want to make sure they bring a strong iron game when playing this golf course since there rock walls and bunkers strategically bordering the raised greens. There are also water hazards that come into play along the greensides and fairways. It is a golf course that will reward skill and strategy over strength alone. The 16th is one of the toughest holes but with a good approach and a bit of luck, there is an opportunity for a birdie.

very glad that i didnt pay full price. The course has a good layout but the condition of the course was disappointing.
I really enjoy playing this course. Booking it through GolfNow is the best value in the Fort Worth area.
Greens
Before I play any course, I typically call the pro shop and ask about the greens, because that's the main thing golfers want to be good, and when you call for tee times, never does a pro shop warn that their greens are bad or have recently been punched. When I called the pro shop here last Friday and asked about the greens, I was told that they had had NO maintenance (his words) in months. When we got out there (we came a very long way), the greens had been sanded and had been aerated within the last several weeks. That's just not right.
No warden
I had problem with a man in front of me....going very slow and searching for golf balls! To the point on a hole I was waiting on him and 3 guys carted up and was telling me their problem with the man earlier.....so I joined them 3 and moved past to the next hole in which 1 guy was just now teeing up! So we pass him! It was HORRIBLE!! I ended up skipping 3 holes!!! POOR MANAGEMENT IF NOT ANY ON THE GREENS!!!
Nice Course
The course was laid out very well and was in good condition. The greens had a lot of sand on them and looked like they were going to be bad but they were actually not bad at all and when the sand settles will be very nice. Over all this is a very nice course and I will play it again. It is a great value!
Good Course, Bad Practice Putting Green
This course has a great layout, near Eagle Mountain Lake, so prepare for windy conditions, but for the neighborhood this place is in. they should really update the practice putting green. Also, a starter would really help with keeping proper spacing between groups.
Great Course
Loved this course. You cannot beat it for the money. Some narrow fairways, some tricky green locations, some gorgeous scenery (incredible houses as well) and some holes you can really score on. Entire course was well kept. Not to mention free range balls with a round! Definitely will be back.
Waste of time
Course has tricked up layout, nobody monitoring pace of play (on a Thursday!), poor condition. Even at $15, not worth the drive or effort. Will not play this course again.
Always a good round of golf
Pro shop Staff is always friendly, carts are clean. Course is perfect. Club house staff is friendly and attentive. I always try to play this course at least once a month.
NIce Course, Value Great!
Overall it's a nice course. It has a few tight fairways and for the most part the greens are nice and challenging. Playing from the blues a few of the tee boxes are a bit hard. The value for the course is great! I will definitely will come back.
Nice Time
Greens were in good shape. Need more grass in fairways, which will come as the warm weather has arrived. Great rates for afternoon play. Staff was Great! I will be back!!
Find a different course
The staff that was there only 1 person was friendly. The greens are in not bad shape. The sand traps were nice. The course layout is horrible. The tee boxes were so bad you could have built a log cabin. This course should be on a 17 hot deal at best. Won't be choosing this to play again.
JSG
Course is in average condition for time of year. Greens a little rough do to hole replacement but in otherwise good condition
Don't waste your time
This course hasn't been tended to properly and needs some major modifications.
Grill staff needs help
First- this course is really nice, good layout - front 9/ back 9 - clubhouse in between... but don't bother stopping. Pro shop staff is great super friendly and welcoming. Grill staff needs coaching- a lot of coaching - everytime I come to play they are sitting around and watching Netflix on their Phones, it takes too long to get food at the turn and I think they forget they are at work. Tap beers with blown kegs - back to the course Hard pan fairways mostly, Greens are awesome though, bunkers 50/50 - some great, some dirt and rocks, nice views, but more homes are being built in everywhere so that's changing. Members play way too slow and they give you pitch mark tools in the clubhouse but no one fixes any marks on the greens - it's a whip, so sad that those that live their feel they are too good to bend down and fix their ball marks or sand their divota in the fairways- which is surprising from the members. It was cart path only and members were in front of me driving everywhere mucking up the whole place and they were still slow as all get out. Couldn't deal with the pace so I played the front 9 twice and still caught the group I was originally behind on 14. Really!!?? Not worth over 25$ , that's for sure- (Id pay 15$ max) Sadly and I think it has a lot to do with the way the members treat the place. Hopefully they see this and things are done so this place can truely reach it's potential, but it takes all hands in and everyone to really care for the place, even the homeowners.
Surprise course.
Played in 3 1/2 hrs had the course to ourselves. Bunkers in good shape, challenging enough course. Definitely a "do over". Nice facility.
