Definitely a course that requires prior knowledge of holes and placement of tee shots. If playing first time, then take your time to study yardage books and figuring out the layout of fairways and preferable targets.

Very interesting course. Challenging but fair. Fast greens. Good fairway grass.

It's a great layout, need a bite of water in the fairways, green where just punched and sanded. But I can see it is a nice track. I will play there again

The pace of play is horrible. When we let the pro shop know, they sent no one to speed thing up.

Got a hot deal on golf now for The Resort and this is definitely a FW gem! First time playing the course and as a previous review notes, this is a shot maker's course. Tight fairways, protected greens, sharp doglegs, and elevation changes makes this course challenging and fun. Pro Shop staff very nice and we saw the cart girl very often. Played with a "regular" so the local course knowledge came in handy as sometimes it's just as important to know where it's safe to "miss". There are only 2-3 holes you really need a driver on - a well struck 3wood or hybrid off the tee will put you in good position. Only issue I had was the dry and hard fairways and bunkers. I even had trouble pushing a tee into the ground! Even when in the fairway, I never felt comfortable taking a divot b/c I felt like hitting off the cart path - same w/bunkers. That said, I'd still make the 45 minute drive to play this course again.

It was very hot that day which it is normal this time of year since we started at noon since I was doing it on a hot deal but it would have been worth full price. I can not say enough good things about this course and I will be going back now I know about it.

Overall the course was in great shape. The greens were fast, but firm. A few of the bunkers needed some work. Course knowledge is helpful....should have went with a 3 wood instead of a driver on many holes even from the blue tees.

Overall, this is a nice course. Many holes have narrow fairways, so the slope of 140 is well deserved, even though it's a fairly short course (the championship tees are 6,600 yards long). It helps to have course knowledge on several holes (e.g., 4, 6, & 18) because you can't see what's ahead. The greens were painfully slow when we played, and it was hard to convince yourself to hit the putt harder. Unfortunately, some sand traps were just hard dirt. Nevertheless, I readily recommend this course. The staff was friendly, and it was overall a good experience.

I love The Resort. This course has a very interesting layout, and holes number 6 and 17 come to mind when I say that. I love coming out of The Chute on 6, but don't much care for the blind shot over The Green Monster at 17. 16..the signature hole, and 18 the closeout hole, are vastly improved thanks to the recent rains, and the disappearance of some hard pan. Hole 15 has had a tee box arrangement which changed the ," My Ego Needs The Par", on this short par 3 into an, OMG--What's the Deal With this Long Carry" over the water. It was a special day as an old friend is leaving the state, and he has never played here before. I was hopeful that the rains had softened up things a bit, and they have. Now if they could just fluff the bunkers a little more with a shade higher grade sand, I'd be forced to give her 5 stars across the board.

Once you get past the grumpy guard at the entrance the pro-shop staff was very helpful and friendly. The course was beautiful shape had a great time. Greens were very fast.

We enjoyed the course very much. All had a good time. Were going to drink 3 or 4 beers when we were through, but when we found out it cost $4.50 a beer we drank one and left. Nobody's beer is worth that much.

I would highly recommend this course. I've always enjoyed the layout and it's a fun course to play. Never to busy always played at a good pace. I've never been when it's not in good shape.

This was the worst golf outing iv ever had. My friend was charged $20 plus tax for his young daughter to just ride in the cart with him. She wasn't playing but just wanted to come along and hang out. I mean $20 to just ride. That's a first. There was a cart path only rule which was not needed the course wasn't as wet as I guess they thought it was. Maybe it was a couple days earlier but not this day which made the round take for ever to play. The only time we saw a course marshel was when we finished and he was rolling out of the club house at 18. Waste of money and time.

So it was a cloudy cool day after some storms here around Ft Worth. Had the day off (Wednesday) and time to kill. Checked GolfNow for some local tee times and found a HotDeal at this course for $14.00. Called to verify they were open after the storms and was told maybe 10 people on the course. So my wife and I headed over. Turned out to be a great day. We did see maybe 8 people ALL day on the course. Considering it was a day after some big storms the course was playable with a few areas of water pooling and several bunkers were mini pools but overall not bad. Not much rollout on fairways and a few plugged approach shots. Greens rolled pretty well. Houses around course were beautiful. Have played here before and enjoyed it. Wife and I really enjoyed basically having the place to ourselves for almost 4 hours!!. Will definitely be back. A few holes with test your accuracy but overall very fun course. Great carts too!

Overall I'd say this is a nice course. It's rather short in my opinion but that in itself makes it a little challenging. The greens were just sanded so that was a little disappointing but at least they're taking steps to improve the course overall. While on the course we didn't see a marshal but did see several members who addressed many issues that may have came up. All in all, not a bad experience. I may return again once the greens are situated.

Great staff and overall very nice course!

Loved playing the course. It was early in the season, so the grass was still dormant, but the Greens wée amazing, the staff was great, and the weather was perfect.

This course is a great way to spend a day of golf if you live in the the Fort Worth area. Excellent value, friendly staff and a challenging layout. You will come back.

As a note - these are the best greens to play around the Ft Worth area that I have played so far this year.
The conditions are improving on the fairways compared to the condition last year. The grounds crew has been working hard to make it play better. The bunkers were good as well.
