Greens were very fast, surprising with recent rain. Bunkers were solid, not playable. Overall course in good shape for late December

Course in great shape. Fairways running hard and fast. Last 3 holes are excellent finishing holes. So many good golf holes. Good golf fun.

Man, I played Houston National 3 years ago and it was so much nicer back then. Trash everywhere, cigarette butts everywhere, carts were filthy and the course was in horrible shape for the price. Seriously I have played poorly managed municipal course better that this. Greens were fine but for the money there are MANY other courses in the area. Not sure I will play there again.

If a manager is reading this here are a couple suggestions:

1. Have your staff pick up trash as they are in the course of their jobs.

2. Multiple pros and asst pros (too many) and not enough cart girls or people maintaining the course.

This course could be amazing.

This course offers plenty of open fairways to hit, if you get off to the side though there’s lots of moguls. The greens are in good shape the fairways could use some maintenance and over seeding but overall it’s in good shape.

The price point for this corse should be more in the $25 range based on the overall conditions. The fact "National" is in the name does not add value to the experience.

The layout was challenging but a links style course should have grass in the fairways. The fairways had more sand than some of the bunkers. I don't think the irrigation system was broken because the greens were nicest part of the course!

We spent over $100 for our group to play here - we could have played much better conditioned courses for the same price elsewhere!

My daughter and I like playing golf together maybe once a month sometimes more if we get the chance. We went yesterday and really enjoyed ourselves. The people that work there are super friendly and went out of there way to make our day enjoyable. The green fees were about $75 for us to play it included a hotdog and a beer/soft drink. The guy working in the restaurant was very nice and went out of his way to make sure everything was good. The only negative I would say is around hole 10 is there is a split between the course and the private course which are both hole 10. Maybe a sign or have someone there to make sure golfers don’t venture onto the wrong course. This was not a total big deal. We would definitely go again

Played on Nov 1. When I went in to pay I used my debit card and their system said “denied”. I then looked on my bank app and it showed the charge going through. The system at H National said no. I said no big deal and gave them cash. I saved the receipt and was going to follow up. As usual, I forgot. Today I got a call from the course saying I had been double charged and they would refund to my debit card. In today’s world this simply doesn’t happen enough.

We invited a guess from Oklahoma to play with us and it was great! The greens are in great shape! Some bunkers has water but I am glad we did not have to play there.

First time at Houston National. Fun and challenging.

They load the course and NEVER have marshals on course keeping pace of play going. There were 4, count them 4, groups on the par 5 6th. Beautiful day but my brother and I left after a 2 and half hour front 9. Mentioned it to staff in pro shop. They couldn’t have cared less. Awful experience. And the shape of the course is getting worse and worse.

It took 2.5 hours to play 9 holes. We quit after 9. Their effort to pack the course made a beautiful day a real bad experience

Absolute atrocious! Course is in worst shape I've ever seen. Fairways are almost void of any kind of grass. Its a dirt farm.

I don’t play often but this course is awesome. It’s beginner friendly and well kept. I’m already looking into another tee time next week.

Would it be possible to put blue markers on 15? Have not been there for over two months!! If you need me to make them please let me know. Thank you.

Below is the rule for golfers that do not know the rules.

6.1/1 – What to Do When One or Both Tee-Markers Are Missing

If a player finds one or both tee-markers missing, the player should seek help from the Committee.

However, if that help is not available in a reasonable time, the player should use his or her reasonable judgment (Rule 1.3b(2)) to estimate the location of the teeing area.

Recognizing that such an estimation must be made promptly and cannot be precise, the player’s reasonable judgment of the location of the teeing area will be accepted even if later shown to be wrong (Rule 1.3b(2)).

Slowest round in a long time, no marshals . No cart service on a Sunday. Fairway grass was a little thin. The cost was advertised as all you can play, well that was barely 18 due to slow pace of play!

The course was in as good of shape that I have ever seen it The past 6 years with the exception of the bunkers, which we just had a tropical storm last week mind you thats why I believe the bunkers were in need of attention, kudos to the greens and grounds keeper, Pace of play was very good
