Sculpted by Greg Norman out of the tall grassland prairies and rice fields west of Houston, Meadowbrook Farms is part of a planned 800-acre residential development headed by Landmark National. Norman's layout includes deep-faced sod bunkers, Lil Prong Creek, and a multitude of oaks, pecans, and sycamores that take the golfer toward greens that are extremely hard.
The lack of parallel holes allows for an open, natural setting that is perfect for golf, especially since Norman didn't favor much reshaping-instead, he used the natural topography of the former rice farm.
Holes of note on the front are the 160-yard No. 6 and the 420-yard No. 9, both accented by the tall native grasses. No. 9 involves wetlands in front of the green, which is tough considering the longish approach.
Several holes on the back can destroy your round, including the narrow, doglegging 395-yard No. 10. It's imperative to find the fairway on this one. And No. 15 is short (340 yards), but is loaded with bunkers that are difficult for the high-handicapped hack.
The best hole of the bunch is perhaps No. 18, a 545-yarder that involves a layup of a canal off the tee and two solid shots to reach the green in regulation.
All told, this one is worth the investment. The bag drop service is friendly and prompt, and the clubhouse offers affordable amenities, including a great little bar and grill.
Getting there : From Downtown Houston on I-10, drive west to Grand Parkway (Hwy. 99). Take Grand Parkway south to Fry Rd., then turn right. Take Fry Rd. west for approximately 1.3 miles, and the entrance is on the left.

Consistent Course
Love this course . Provides challenge for all skill levels. Great finishing hole.
Great conditions
Course was in great condition considering the cold weather recently. Played during the early afternoon on a Monday so pace of play was great. Greens were in great shape. Played this course using a Hot deal so the value was great!
Slow, slow, slow and more slow
If you want to spend 6 hours playing 28 holes of golf this is your spot. I spent 4 hours here and played 12 holes. They do nothing to speed up pace of play.

Nearly two years ago, there was a lot of construction going as a result of Hurricane Harvey over four years ago. I really like what Mr Norman has done especially with the back nine which suffered the brunt of the flooding.
3 1/2 hour round on a really good course
Course is in good condition, pin positions are challenging and the layout is interesting. Staff all very friendly and polite.
Fantastic day for golf at Katy
We played on a beautiful day. Back 9 greens looks like carpet! This course is a little pricey on weekends but now we know way. The only missing service was the drinks. But probably that is because COVID issue with staff or similar. I would say is a missing opportunity to youngsters to make extra money. I will keep saving for my next run :)

Greg Norman design. I’ve played the course frequently since it opened. Great track. Highly recommend.
Hot Deal
The nonmember price of $105 is steep. A hot deal for basically $60 per person was a great deal. Good variety of holes and shapes. Pace of play was amazing. Played 18 in 3 hrs, would have been even faster but my playing partner lost some balls in the woods. Greens seemed to have some issues, nothing too serious.
Nice course with some interesting hole layouts
Conditions were good. The first 3 holes were very slow but it picked up after that, the starter told us that was fairly normal.

Nice fairways, greens and bunkers. Love the layout.

Staff a little rude...overall good course... no cart girl til the back 9 and she didn't know what she was doing
