Valencia Golf & Country Club

An older course, a bit rough around the edges. Fairways drain well but plenty of wear. Greens have evidence of pockmarks but roll well enough. Traps have soft sand. Most holes are open enough but plenty of water. Overall not bad but at $165 a round, I was hoping for better.

Backed up four groups on the very first tee! Didn’t know that was possible. We’ve played there many times and never had this issue before so hopefully it was a one-off.

We were told it was a decent course but we were quite disappointed. For the price we paid, we expected much better.

Of the moderately priced courses in the Naples area, Valencia is the best. Course condition is very good; greens are excellent; staff warm and welcoming. Excellent value for the money.

A very average public course. The lack of public courses in Naples keeps up the demand.

The course is an old school CC that is wide and very playable. Tees, fairways and bunker's are in good shape. The greens are an issue. Many ball marks that don’t seem to be healing very well. The greens don’t roll well and are not fun to putt.

I think I will took to play somewhere else while I’m in FL.

Would recommend other courses which are in the same price range but in much better condition and more challenging. Average course at premium pricing.

Pace of play is consistently 4:15-4:30 and the start is never the actual tee time. Sunday we stared almost 25 minutes later than our tee time and then the round was 4:16.

Carts were fine. Course was in decent shape, but definitely not resort condition. Bunkers were well sanded and fair. Small clubhouse/deck. I’ll try other places.

Good value for under $100. Range could use some grass and newer range balls would be appreciated.
