Valencia Golf & Country Club

Better than most public courses in Naples. Hard to get used to paying these high prices for public golf, when almost everywhere else in the country the courses are better and half the price. I guess we pay for the weather. Always perfect.

Ranger on the front nine was on our almost every hole. We were in pace with the group in front of us, but 3/4 of a hole behind. Finished front in 2 hours and 6 minutes. Finished 18 in 4 hours 15 minutes. Not super fast but hardly slow.

Play Panther Run instead.

The greens were mixed some needing to grow in more and some were grown in densely. All different speeds of greens not very consistent. Layout is good.

Confusion with tee time reservations, but the pro shop staff went out of their way to get olus out. Rangers and starters were all friendly and helpful. We have played the course before, and both agreed it has been in much better shape... pace of play was way slow- took 5 hours to finish our round. The big slap in the face is that even after paying 150$ each- they charge 20$ for range balls... that was kinda ridiculous, especially knowing they were behind schedule and we teed off 20 minutes late to start the death march. Won't play or recommend this course until the rates go down.

Very pleasant, overall quite good experience despite the construction around it, not too difficult.

Would be nice to get a discount due to the construction 'sandstorm'.

I realize that public courses in SWFL are limited but avoid Valencia if all possible. The staff was unappreciative of the golfers due to significant understaffing. The course is heavily sanded and unplayable in some areas. The clubhouse is a trailer and has been for years. Not worth the money, look elsewhere.

Pace of play on the back nine was over 2.5 hours. If you say on your score card that pace of play is 4 hours, then enforce it! The ranger was out there but he did nothing to fix it.

Otherwise a good track for the money.

The layout was very good. There was a top dressing on the greens, so you got a lot of black stuff on your ball. The greens did roll good. The carts were kind of old.

Overall the course layout is very good. The greens are large and many need work. Worth playing even if a little pricey.

Fog of dirt from construction vehicles makes it hard to see and breath of at least 7 holes.

The course ambience is greatly impacted by all the awful construction.

As a result, way overpriced.
