Valencia Golf & Country Club

Play this course with a friend on weekends as he only wants to play 9 holes. Always the back side. Course is improving as they build up the new subdivision to the east. Mainly clearing the under brush. Still could use trimming on fairway edges.

On the back nine there is adjacent to the course significant residential construction resulting in major dust in the air.

The front nine was fine

We won’t go back until construction is complete.

Nice place, friendly staff, pace of play was excellent, course not crowded. Lots of construction around the course right now, may be dusty and dirty during the week while construction is active. We played on a Saturday afternoon. Front nine greens were much slower than the back nine.

The enjoyment of the golf course was spoilt by the ongoing building work which looks like it will continue for some time. The layout and vista on a number of holes was spoilt by the sight of machinery and piles of soil plus the associated site materials.

It's hard to find a public course in the Naples area this good. Fast, undulating TIF Eagle greens are its trademark in my opinion. We play the white tees and the blue, depending on the challenge we want (and the age of the people we're playing with). The blues are a very good challenge. Friendly staff. The only downside is all of the new home construction going on right next to it on Oil Well Road. Noisy, dusty, and smokey at times if you are downwind.

Although we played on Sunday the surroundings of many of the holes do not look very nice

Einfacher, nicht anspruchsvoller Platz, ohne grossen Hindernisse, breite Fairways. Wir haben uns vorgängig auf der Webseite informiert und fanden den Platz optisch ansprechend, mit viel natürlicher Umgebung. Leider findet dort aktuell und auf Grund der Grösse vermutlich auch noch längere Zeit, eine grosse Bautätigkeit statt. Andauernder Baulärm, Staub trübten unseren Golfspass. Ebenso stimmte für uns das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis überhaupt nicht.

Played course many times and one of my favourites but not now ! Destroyed by building construction especially on back nine

We weren’t sure what to expect because it was our first time playing the course, and from the negative reviews (i.e. construction, dust, scenery, etc). We will definitely go back and play Valencia and include it on our SW Florida course list that we play. Excellent practice area, good course conditions, and pace of play (under 3.5 hrs).
