About
The Arthur Hills/Mike Dasher-designed Sienna Plantation is a flat, wooded course that has been enhanced to provide elevation changes. The result is a challenging track that rolls between lakes, creeks, and the native hardwoods that dominate the landscape.
In terms of playability, you'll primarily notice the abundance of risk-reward decisions that are required throughout the round on this course, which tips out at 7,151 yards.
Out of the chute you'll be challenged immediately-the opening two holes play as a 427-yard par 4 and a 601-yard par 5. It lightens up a bit on holes 3-4 with a reasonably short par 3 and a short par 4, but holes 5-8 can blow your score up quickly if you're not on your game. No. 6 is a monster 251-yard par 3 sandwiched between two 450-yard par 4s.
On the back it's more of the same, with the nine opening with four 400-yard plus par 4s. Both par 3s are over 200 yards, and the par 5s are each well over 500 yards. The only real birdie opportunity for the average handicapper is the 320-yard No. 16.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 59 south to the Williams Trace exit. Turn left on Williams Trace to Hwy. 6. Turn left and drive 5.5 miles to the Sienna Plantation main entrance. Turn right and follow the signs to the Information Center.

Nice layout Sanded Aerated Greens
Played for second time last week. Rain has helped fairways green up well.
Course has a wide open layout good for beginners to intermediate golfers Some holes are very short but have challenging greens
The rain negatively impacted bunkers with hard sand
Once the aerated greens grow in I would recommend the course
Food with a draft beer was excellent and fair priced.
Tough.......but fun
Tough course, especially for beginners, but a lot of fun. Will definitely go back
Course getting better
Quick review. Looks like they are trying to make improvements. Fairways and greens were being heavily watered. New grass in bare areas!!!
Will return in a few weeks and see if maintenance is continuing.

Always liked the layout. Course conditions were average at best.
Absolutely the worst pace of play I have ever experienced. No Marshall. 3.5 hours through 12 holes. Did not finish.

Disappointed
I was disappointed at the course for supposedly a semi-member golf course. I don't know if the area is under a water restriction, but it appeared the course was reflecting dry ground conditions.. It was a good course lay mout and I enjoyed my round but it's not a course I would play very often. Especially since I'm from out of town and visiting the area. Of course I've played Greaywood Golf and that course if often pretty dry..

Run
WARNING DANGER! I can’t get these people to cut the grass for nothing. They have a drainage tunnel that has collapsed and is no longer draining. The grass now looks like a mini jungle. I see snakes on the regular now, alligators, golf carts getting stuck in the mood and they have to leave their go-carts. This is unsafe and dangerous for all people……RUN to a better golf course that takes care of their lawns and people safety!!!!

Deteriorating
This course has a nice layout with lots of potential. However, poor maintenance makes it not very enjoyable. Green and inconsistent with weeds on everyone and the fairways are thin and cracking in areas. Ball washers are virtually nonexistent and and unusable!

What happened to sienna
Bunched up tee times, bad greens and bunkers. Management has completely failed this course

Solid course
Sienna is an enjoyable place to play a round. Some aspects (including a couple of holes with swampland rough) test your shot making skills and with woods out of bounds on most holes, you will likely lose a few balls, but greens are consistent and reward golfers with good short games.
