About
The Arthur Hills/Mike Dasher-designed Sienna Plantation is a flat, wooded course that has been enhanced to provide elevation changes. The result is a challenging track that rolls between lakes, creeks, and the native hardwoods that dominate the landscape.
In terms of playability, you'll primarily notice the abundance of risk-reward decisions that are required throughout the round on this course, which tips out at 7,151 yards.
Out of the chute you'll be challenged immediately-the opening two holes play as a 427-yard par 4 and a 601-yard par 5. It lightens up a bit on holes 3-4 with a reasonably short par 3 and a short par 4, but holes 5-8 can blow your score up quickly if you're not on your game. No. 6 is a monster 251-yard par 3 sandwiched between two 450-yard par 4s.
On the back it's more of the same, with the nine opening with four 400-yard plus par 4s. Both par 3s are over 200 yards, and the par 5s are each well over 500 yards. The only real birdie opportunity for the average handicapper is the 320-yard No. 16.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 59 south to the Williams Trace exit. Turn left on Williams Trace to Hwy. 6. Turn left and drive 5.5 miles to the Sienna Plantation main entrance. Turn right and follow the signs to the Information Center.

Great layout, needs a little TLC
I’ve read several reviews that bash course. It does need a little TLC, I’m sure in the day it was pristine. The layout is great, greens rolled well. Staff was friendly. The ladies in grill room were super!

Friendly course.
I haven't played here since 8 years ago, the course condition is not as good as before maybe due to the freezer weather in previous months, course layout is good, good value, nice pro shop staff, friendly golfers.

Poor Greens
The greens were like playing in bunkers and the bunkers were like playing on pavement and all this for a 5 hour round!

Home course
Love this course but was really slow that day. Starter said there were 2 fivesomes a few holes in front of us. Not sure why they allow that, especially on the weekends. Number 16 is a driveable par 4. It was backed up. Already at 4 and half hours, I left.

A starter would have made a huge difference
Drive an hour from closer to Houston looking for a new course to try.
Driving range was dirt, mats were available if desired.
At the first tee there were 4 groups waiting with tee times ranging from 1200 to 1238. It was 1230, and we had the 1238. Lots of two somes going alone and general confusion over who should tee next. We created a 4 some and went on our way.
Condition were average for the time of year, a few of the greens being atrocious. The other greens were fast, and some were full of Poa or Poa Scars. The lay out is awesome, and this course could be awesome.
3 hours later we finish the first 9. The threesome in front of us stopped at the turn and we ended up pairing with another 2 some on from of them, and left the other 2 we started with at the clubhouse, they wanted snacks and we were content to continue on.
Made it to the 15th hole 5 hours after we started and had to call it quits for other obligations. The course needs a starter, and two somes should be combined with others to preserve pace of play . Not worth $65, with improved conditions and a marshal/ starter, could be a great course.

Not worth the $$$
I've played this course few times. This is the worst it's been. There was a kids' tournament going on, so we played back 9 first. The 4some ahead of us were super slow, teeing off twice while we waited. No Marshalls around. The tee box were awful, fairways were dead and hard, and the worst of all, the greens were covered with sand. Unputtable! If I knew beforehand that it was in this condition, I'd pay $50+ to play at Blackhorse or Golf Club of Houston. Sad to see this course gone downhill. Not sure if it's new owners or management, but a course in such a nice neighbourhood in this condition is definitely not right. Any course with issues should be reported to golfnow or teeoff so people know the condition prior to bookings. Not playing here until it's fixed.

Fun golf course!
Fun golf course! Fairways are forgiving and greens are challenging. I almost had my first hole in one on 200 yard par 3. Unable to load image.
Only disappointments were ball washers not maintained and very few water stations.
Highly recommend playing this good course!

Great staff
The shop manager is friendly and kind. I left my club on the green while I was playing. They returned to me when I was finished.
