A bit cold, but fun
Played this course with my buddies earlier in 21' golf season in Chicagoland. Was a little cold & windy! Greens could have been a bit better/faster, but would still recommend playing the course! Little bit of a hike up North from the Western Suburbs of Chicago. Definitely recommend an early morning tee time.
What a beautiful place.
Everything about Stonewall Orchard is amazing. From the back tees the course plays long but fair. You will hit every club in the bag, and each hole presents a variety of options off the tee. Each time I finish up on 18 I look forward to my next round here. Even though I live 45 minutes away I still some back many times a year. Great place and a great experience.
First Round of Year with My Boys
Despite the cool, early Spring temps and howling wind, we had a thoroughly enjoyable day at Stonewall Orchard. The staff is always helpful and the layout of the course is really a treat - no weak holes and great variety. Natural native grass areas bring North Carolina to mind. Played in well less than four hours despite cart path only. Only negative was that golf cart scoring system/touch screen did not work. Early Spring pricing was a value. I will definitely be back!

Very good condition for time of year. Outside starter wad very nice. Only complaint was cart path only.

Final Round of 2020
Stonewall Orchard is a well kept course with a unique layout that plays to the strengths of the bomb and gouge golfer. Hard to lose a ball on most holes and late Fall golf has much of the fringe reeds cut down offering favorable bounces should a drive or fairway wood drift off course.
Just a great course
Pricy but you get what you pay for. Championship course with a championship lauout.
