About
Previously known as Aaki Ranch International Golf Course, Stone River Golf Club is a basic, homemade 18-hole track that opened in 1997, featuring rolling Bermuda pastures, manmade lakes, and young trees. Playing only 6,487 yards from the tips with minimal trees lining the fairways, you’ll be able to swing hard and let it rip.
Getting there : From Dallas, head east on I-30 for about 25 miles to exit 77B (FM35). Turn right at the stop onto FM 35, then continue about 1 mile. Turn right onto FM 2453 and drive another .5 miles. The golf course is on your right

I used golf now to book most of my tee times. Great options just to be flexible with what they offer. Still highly recommend it
Course was in great shape
Love how open and maintained the course was... Save for some heavy water in areas the course was in the best condition I've seen
Stone River
The cost for the value is reasonable. Greens are not in yet. Fairways have lots of grass clippings from the last storm.

Love stone river! Always a great day, great staff, great day out in the sun on the course.
Lots of construction to improve cart paths. Greens are not in good shape and the tee boxes were worse
Good people. Course is rough.
Very cool community feel and staff was very nice. Played here on a gift card. Met some cool guys on the course that live here and have their own carts. Course is terrible and that’s a nice review. Leave this course to the locals.
Cutting cost much?
Have played this course many times and it’s usually an okay experience. But today was just terrible. Seemed like they had maybe 2 people working the whole course on a Sunday morning with no Marshall. Tee times were severely over booked which caused us to play about a 6 hour round and no starter or Marshall to help and only person in the clubhouse that was trying to work the kitchen along with checking people in. And for 45$? Pretty laughable.
Great course to get your game back in shape on
Stone River is a nice course. Not too long and pretty forgiving with wide fairways and large greens. Condition of the course was pretty good for early spring. Recent rains had left the course pretty wet but it was still very playable. Always a good value to play here when booking a hot deal.
Fun course
Stone River is a fun course but needs work. Tee Boxes are not good. The lady that works the club house is very rude. I’m not the only one that thinks that either. They need a friendlier staff. I like the lay out of the course Greens are in good shape. Fair ways and Tee boxes need some work.
could be better
not worth it, one par 5 green the flagstick was on a slant and you could not set your ball down without rolling into the water. other groups were complaining as well.
Desperate to play this course
Need my money back
My round got Canceled because of weather but the golf course didn’t cancel it until after my teatime had started according to golf now so I need my money back
Play Stone River
Best pace of player around... staff is very friendly...greens are usually in very good condition... fairways are average but playable.
Greens very difficult
Overall course is good. Undulation of the greens makes it almost impossible to keep the ball on the green especially when chipping is required.
