The Links at Land's End
About
Although the Links at Land's End has a location that is seemingly remote, many golfers have deemed it worthy of the trek to Yantis. The challenging round is coupled with a scenic and secluded location along the banks of Lake Fork. You won't see much water on the early holes, which play among mature trees, but it has a prominent presence on the golf course starting with the fourth hole. It's a layout that demands accuracy with tall grass and trees lining the holes in addition to the water hazards and strategically placed bunkers. The stretch of holes from the sixth through the 12th is situated right on the lake, making you feel almost as though you're playing on an island. They offer the best views on the golf course. The Links at Land's End is a challenging but fair round that will appeal to players of all skill levels.

Mosquitoes swarms, literally
First of all, I’ve played here before, staff and course are great. I don’t recall what month I’ve played in the past but this time, Wow, once we hit hole #5 tee box until #17th green, we were literally swarmed with mosquitoes anytime we stopped in a shady area. It was a high heat index day so yeah it was like 105 and stopping in the shady spots would’ve been nice. Even if your ball landed in the shade, good luck with taking a good tempo swing, you were instantly swarmed. After being frustrated with the conditions, we made a “new local rule” to move our balls out of any shade without penalty LOL. Not sure if the course could have sprayed for skeeters since likely coming from the lake but just would have been nice to have been warned vs. surprised. We did call to check on course conditions before we made plans to play here.
Well manicured all the way around! A+. Very very green for 100+ degree summer weather. I always see deer, very peaceful track around lake fork.
Golfing
good day to play golf with my wife.we will be back
Birdie Time
Good day to be on the golf course playing golf. Had a good time with my wife on our weekly outing will be back. Course was in good shape. Play time was great greens are a lot better.
Greens
They doing needed yearly maintenance on the greens. Glad they are working on them.
Slow pace of play
Group of 8 in front of us put a damper on the round but the course was in decent shape except for a couple parts of a couple greens. Ground is a little hard but nothing too bad.
Greens
Just the time of year to be working on the greens. It is needed.
I'm glad I went!
I had a morning meeting in Tyler and so I decided to try the LALE on the way back to Dallas. It is truly a links course - extremely flat. I was a single, played by myself, and finished in just under two hours by jumping ahead of a few holes. The back up came from a group of seven playing in five carts.
The course is well cared for and the people there are very nice. One interesting feature is that while the carts don't have GPS, they really do. There is no GPS screens on the carts, but if you drive your cart OB, you get that warning beep that requires you to back up.
Would I drive out there just to play golf. No, I don't think so. For about the same price and same distance from Dallas, I think I like the hills and elevations better at Webb Hill CC.
golf please
had a good trip to LALE. good course to play. we will be back.
