The Links at Land's End

About
Although the Links at Land's End has a location that is seemingly remote, many golfers have deemed it worthy of the trek to Yantis. The challenging round is coupled with a scenic and secluded location along the banks of Lake Fork. You won't see much water on the early holes, which play among mature trees, but it has a prominent presence on the golf course starting with the fourth hole. It's a layout that demands accuracy with tall grass and trees lining the holes in addition to the water hazards and strategically placed bunkers. The stretch of holes from the sixth through the 12th is situated right on the lake, making you feel almost as though you're playing on an island. They offer the best views on the golf course. The Links at Land's End is a challenging but fair round that will appeal to players of all skill levels.

Golfing
good day to play golf with my wife.we will be back
Birdie Time
Good day to be on the golf course playing golf. Had a good time with my wife on our weekly outing will be back. Course was in good shape. Play time was great greens are a lot better.
Greens
They doing needed yearly maintenance on the greens. Glad they are working on them.
Slow pace of play
Group of 8 in front of us put a damper on the round but the course was in decent shape except for a couple parts of a couple greens. Ground is a little hard but nothing too bad.
Greens
Just the time of year to be working on the greens. It is needed.
I'm glad I went!
I had a morning meeting in Tyler and so I decided to try the LALE on the way back to Dallas. It is truly a links course - extremely flat. I was a single, played by myself, and finished in just under two hours by jumping ahead of a few holes. The back up came from a group of seven playing in five carts.
The course is well cared for and the people there are very nice. One interesting feature is that while the carts don't have GPS, they really do. There is no GPS screens on the carts, but if you drive your cart OB, you get that warning beep that requires you to back up.
Would I drive out there just to play golf. No, I don't think so. For about the same price and same distance from Dallas, I think I like the hills and elevations better at Webb Hill CC.
golf please
had a good trip to LALE. good course to play. we will be back.
Great Golf
Had a great time except for a foursome in front of us that were extremely slow, and didn’t care about us having to wait. No one in front of them
Course itself nice pace of plat terrible
Very nice young man greeted us when signing in, and that’s not always case when you golf. We started at 2:15 on a Fri afternoon , didn’t finish till almost 7:00, thank god for daylight saving s time. No Marshall’s on the course, to move pace of play along, I played in a twosome , so I know that can affect pace as behind multiple 4-somes, but we really took our time and played as slow as we could. Last few times out there ,same issue, be awhile before we go there again.. course itself rate it at a B- , Taking into only course conditions, T boxes @ C-, fairways @ B, greens @ B
Cart service/beverages was great, came along often ( prob 5x in round) rate an A. also rate golf carts as A+, appear to be of a newer fleet. .so non ‘course’ incidentals I’d rate them at a solid A…
As you can see at least for me. If a round takes almost 5 hrs…. It doesn’t matter how great / non great course and extras are, it will be a BAD experience.
My suggestion to manager/Pti out there, hire a Marshall , who can keep pace if play moving along.
