About
Olympia Hills Golf Course is very exciting and enhances San Antonio's reputation as a golf destination. A unique combination of natural topography and man-made mounds and bunkers make this a super course. Native South Texas vegetation and golf course grass seed formulations on fairways and greens will provide state-of-the-game playing surfaces. The views are spectacular, with several holes playing to greens well below the tees, while other lead to a significant rise to reach the putting surface. Fairways, which on some holes are tight, are often sloped and guarded by bunkers. The tips will not be played by the faint hearted, but with four sets of tee boxes, the course can be enjoyed by all levels of players.

Work the greens
Greens were the worst I've putted on in years. Bunkers never raked - even though I was not in one all day, you could see where ppl were in the traps and just walked out. Greens had more divot makes then the fairways. Weed made putting like going through a jungle. Marshall drove by 1 time and did so in the middle of my backswing. Sad.
Needs water. Overpriced
This place needs some rest and water. My gosh, greens were wore out and beyond patchy. So bad. Fairways were intermittent. Tee boxes were a hair better.
They ask too much for this course. I won’t come again. Can’t get over the burnt out greens that you wouldn’t play in 1,000 years.
HORRIBLE CONDITIONS
I’ve literally never seen greens in as poor conditions as I have when I played….the absolute worst in all my years of golf. And to top it off, the rate of play was allowed to go unchecked, and without any exaggeration, it took our group almost 90 min to play the first 3 holes. Most people don’t have 9 hours available in their day to play a single round of golf. Unreal. Definitely won’t be back!
Green conditions not so great
Fairways were good, greens were full of weeds and not smooth at all. For the money spent i would like better greens. Alamo courses were way better
terrible
course was in bad shape, not much grass on the greens.
no marshall and there hasn't been one for months this could explain why it took thirty minutes to play the 10th hole i stayed to play 11th hole then left the course. not the first time they needed a marshall on the course but definitely the worst.
Nearly there
Course has a fun layout that requires some ball placement when necessary. Fairways and tee boxes have good grass but it’s the greens that leave you wanting more. Most, if not all, are in very poor shape. If they could put in a little work, it’d be nearly there.
Greens were atrocious 3.31.23
One of my fave tracks and challenges in SA. The course right now is absolutely unplayable with the greens in such terrible condition. Tee boxes and most of the fairways were great, but not the greens by a loooong shot.
Wet day
The weather was bad, some rain and heavy mist. The greens were terrible, very little grass and many bare places.
Needs work and better Marshalls
Only saw one Marshall and on every green there was Poana and 10 to 20 ball marks on every green most of sand traps were not right after people were using them course condition needs work and so do the marshals

Greens were terrible fairways had a lot of bald spots sand traps were like concrete course is in bad condition
