Olympia Hills Golf Course
About
Olympia Hills Golf Course is very exciting and enhances San Antonio's reputation as a golf destination. A unique combination of natural topography and man-made mounds and bunkers make this a super course. Native South Texas vegetation and golf course grass seed formulations on fairways and greens will provide state-of-the-game playing surfaces. The views are spectacular, with several holes playing to greens well below the tees, while other lead to a significant rise to reach the putting surface. Fairways, which on some holes are tight, are often sloped and guarded by bunkers. The tips will not be played by the faint hearted, but with four sets of tee boxes, the course can be enjoyed by all levels of players.

Needs work
Many of the tee boxes we dirt and a bunch of the greens were a mess.
Great value !
Front nine is tough. Back nine is a relief! Greens aren’t great but considering we are in a huge drought it’s still a fun track.
Summer weather challenges
Our current TX summer heat and drought can be seen in many places on the course: tee boxes, fairways & greens. A lot of ground under repair.
I still enjoyed my round, though.
Okay if you are paying about $20
Course layout is nice. And that is about it. Old facilities, bad greens, mud traps with little sand, terrible range balls, horrible practice area. Not worth $50 for sure!
Good course - but wont return until greens are fixed
Agree with the previous review. Was shocked they took my money and didn't mention the greens or bunkers. The greens had entire hills or lumps that were just dirt patches. Lots of courses in Texas have managed the heat and have solid greens. These were a C- at their absolute best. Fix the greens, lower the price or offer half price follow up rounds or something. Not a great experience to play well and trust ZERO percent of your putts on the green.
Greens are horrible
I can’t believe they took my full green fee with a straight face knowing the shape of their greens. This round should have come with a half priced replay when they get their greens back from the dead. To boot the round was an hour slow with no Marshall pushing groups in front of us. And every par 3 is dam near 220+. Don’t think I will be back.
