I’ve played here several times and loved it. This time was a little different. I’m not gonna hit it with a bad review, but the green’s definitely needed some love. It’s missing quite a bit of grass. Fairways were pretty hard and lots of missing grass. I’d still recommend playing here since I know they will be maintaining it and getting it back up to where it was. Very challenging, lots of water. Beautiful scenery.

This was a great course to play. Surprising layout and difficulty. Greens had been sanded and unpredictable but I would happily play the course again. Minimal food options. Evidently they will have a food cart this week.

Course was in the absolute worst condition I’ve seen. Looked like they hadn’t watered the course in months. Playing off of dirt mostly. Bunkers were hard as a rock.

Limited carts. Life’s too short to play golf courses in this kind of shape.

the starter at the course gave us the bad news that the greens are in bad shape and some would be un puttable. this would have been good to know at time of booking and paying that high price for poor conditions.

Course is in awful condition. Weeds all over the green that constantly moved my ball like a pinball machine. Fairways were comparable to a dead lawn. Constantly hitting off of dirt and mud in the fair ways. Tee boxes were nice though. Do not recommend playing here.

This course is in bad shape. This is the fift time playing this course and the last two time this course has been in terrible condition. The green were terrible and couldn't get a average role. The course layout is great just plain maintenance. Someone told me they fixed it so I gave them another shot but not again.

I have played the course many times and it was not in as good condition as I usually expect it.

May still be recovering from the winter freeze, but seemed lack of water on fairways was an issue and greens were bare and bumpy in spots.

To their credit, appears measures are being taken to correct situation. One green was considered temporary as it was being dressed. So may want to check on conditions before playing to avoid disappointment.

Layout of course challenging- enjoyed that. Pace of play was just under 5 hours - too slow!! Tee boxes were very difficult to get a tee in the ground! Know it is spring & course just coming back but extremely dry.

Staff couldn’t be friendlier. Beautiful place to spend the day. Had a very early tee time so, no one around except one group in front of me who I never had to wait on. I love the layout of this course - it’s challenging but not punishing. Was able to keep my ball in play most of the day but still had to make some good shots to get over bunkers and stay out of hazards. Next time I’m in Austin I’ll play here early in the morning again.

Course in winter condition, greens are rough. Should supply better course maps for non regulars.

Visiting Austin for a wedding. had the opportunity to play the course. Unfortunately, the night before we had one of the famous Texas thunderstorms. The course was wet and cart path only. Lost a ball in one fairway because it was in a dry spot surrounded by water. Very windy with gusts and swirling winds. On some holes I had to use two and three clubs more to get to the greens. Some of the greens were not in great shape. A deep frost had impacted many of the greens in the area. Good weather should bring them back. Lots of blind shots on the back nine. The house needs to place markers at the tees with depictions of the holes.

If I am in the area in the future, I would play this course again. Loved the layout and highly recommend it.

I came to play being from out of town, and this was one of the few courses that had a tee time in the range I was looking for. That being said, the course was still pretty packed and that was the only negative for the day. Considering the time of year the course was in excellent condition, which was good because it is a fairly challenging course (for me anyways). Being from Houston I was not accustomed to the elevation changes and uneven lies that you can find yourself in if you do not hit a good tee or approach shot. A well placed tee shot will set you up nicely on most holes. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming, I had an issue come up during my round which required me to leave, and they allowed me to return later and finish my round. They were very understanding and helped me out big time, hats off to them. Didn't get a chance to check out the rest of the club but the pro shop and entry building all looked top notch, I felt like I was at a private country club. Great course and great people, can't wait to come back again soon!
