Old Brickyard Golf Course

I live in downtown Dallas and made the drive to Ferris Texas to the old brickyard, which is about 35 minutes from downtown. I made a tee time the day before at 12pm. As I arrive, I go into the clubhouse to check in. The gentleman told me we do not have any carts, so you will have to wait until someone gets done. I ask him, Do we know how long that can be? He said I have no clue, so I proceeded to just cancel the reservation, but they told me I was not able to do that, so I never received a refund. I was not going to sit there and wait until someone gets done. Also, they told me I would have to wait for another golfer as a random person would ride with me because they do not allow single golfing because of how busy it is. I understand they are busy, but as a golf course, you should know when you are overbooked and you know longer have any carts at least block reservations or send an email or phone call to let the people who booked so we don’t waste our time driving there. The hospitality and the way I was treated was unacceptable. I highly recommend staying far away from this course. Overall it was a complete nights & as for the course condition it’s a a landfill.

Country view is right down the street and Waxahachie is not far. This course has a black fella working there that is rude and has 0 concept that he's not gonna tell players who they are playing with until he starts paying for the round especially when we are paying $70 no sir. We don't come to the course to be treated like you treat your children we come to play with family and our friends not some strangers because you think your in control. He had a big issue with us bringing a 3rd guy to play and literally turned his money and business down and did not let him play then we pull up to the 1st tee box and there is 6 guys teeing off and playing together. The round took 5 hours. Never going back don't waste your money on the poor customer service either. No grill no burgers no good food at all.

This is a very nice but tough course. Lots of hills and tight fairways. The staff was extremely friendly including the Marshall who stopped to talk with us. Cold water in the coolers but no cart girls. Fairways and greens are in very good condition.

The course was overall in good shape. The pace of play was fine. The tee complexes, fairways and greens were all in good shape. The only complaint I had was the gentleman in the clubhouse checking us. Not friendly or welcoming. Really didn’t seem like he wanted to be there.

With all the heat and lack of rain lately the course was in surprisingly good condition… fairway grass, greens and tee boxes in good shape.

My only complaint is the golf carts. Love playing Brickyard and I actually play there a lot. Challenging course and it has come a long way. Greens are really coming together and fairways are looking great.

Rained on us after 2 holes but we managed to get a raincheck thanks to this stand up establishment and its commitment to customer satisfaction.

Fun course. But, can be confusing and somewhat hazardous. Cartpaths are sometimes on a steep slope with sharp turns, and some paths run directly in front of players teeing off on another hole. Bathrooms on the course weren't the cleanest I've seen, but not horrible. Pace of play was good except for a foursome that wasn't too sharp on etiquette. I may add this course to my monthly rotation.

I'm from Fort Worth, so this course is rarely on my radar. It's a bit of a drive, but definitely worth it. Challenging course with better than expected conditions. Full range and friendly staff. I teed off behind a tournament which is why I rated the pace of play poorly. Not the course's fault. Check it, you won't be disappointed. Unless you're a golf snoot...

Grounds keeper needs improvement, lots of rough spots. Greens pretty good and fast too. Pricey on short notice booking for what we got, staff not caustic as some reviews but not making a lot of friends either. Had to trade carts as we couldn’t steer it, loose wheel.

There need to be a Marshall to speed up the pace of play especially when have a charity event. I spend over 5 hours playing behind want to be professional PGA group of non golfers. They should have offered a refund or rain check anyone who wasn't playing in charity event because this was an tortures to play behind.
