Lakewood Country Club
About
Lakewood Country Club of Naples sprawls across 52 lush acres that is home to an abundance of wildlife, including several different bird species. Located just outside of downtown Naples, Marco Island is just a few minutes away. The golf course snakes around four freshwater lakes, the sparkling waters contrasting beautifully with the native trees and shrubs that border the fairways and greens. The par-60 course is ideal for beginners, offering a round with a conveniently quick pace of play that will still put your short game skills to the test. Making putts is particularly challenging. Most of Lakewood Country Club of Naples's greens are elevated and you'll encounter water on 14 holes. There are also 28 bunkers strategically placed throughout. Every hole has a risk-reward scenario in play, which keeps the low handicappers happy but also gives new golfers the confidence to tackle the golf course without the fear that it's too much to handle.

short game challenge
Frontnine were closed but loved this course anyway. Fpr practicing your short game Lakewood is perfect. Steven and John from the proshop are fabolous. Run their business with a big heart.
Great course for your short game.
I enjoyed working out the short game on this par 60 course. Though it's a short course, it was in excellent condition, with good greens. Even though they had been recently aerated, they played consistent. I would definitely go back when I'm in the area again.
No Driving Range
The online system said it had a driving range but when I arrived, I learned it did not.
Great short course to practice your short game skills
We enjoyed this par 60 course. The 12 par 3s are a decent length from the white tees. Although most are similar length between 120 to 130 yards. The 6 par 4s are tricky. Greens are narrow which is good for honing chips off the green.
The pro was very helpful.
We would play again
Under $20
L put better grass around greens like you would fine in other Naples golf courses do that and I would rate this course much higher
Great value when you’re going through golfnow.com
I wish that they would replace the grass around the greens very gnarly not what you would expect at better maintain courses
Short
Par 60, matchbox greens. Well maintained, no frills
Excellent basic course
My wife and I have played this course twice. It is an excellent course for mid to high handicappers. You get to use a variety of clubs from various distances. A great course for practice and improvement. I would highly recommend!
A Nice Morning for a Round
The greens are still plugged and sanded but the fairways and tee boxes are great. The front nine was closed for today it was still enjoyable.
No clubhouse
A 6 ball in front of us so waiting and waiting
SLO play
They let 6 people play and hold every body up no rangers to keep pace but it was a nice day anyway
Great for short game practice
Great value for Naples. Fun course for practicing short game. Greens are very small and some were not in the best shape. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Short but tough, greens are small but putt true with a good pace
I would recommend playing this course and you need to be striking the ball accurately
