Lakewood Country Club
About
Lakewood Country Club of Naples sprawls across 52 lush acres that is home to an abundance of wildlife, including several different bird species. Located just outside of downtown Naples, Marco Island is just a few minutes away. The golf course snakes around four freshwater lakes, the sparkling waters contrasting beautifully with the native trees and shrubs that border the fairways and greens. The par-60 course is ideal for beginners, offering a round with a conveniently quick pace of play that will still put your short game skills to the test. Making putts is particularly challenging. Most of Lakewood Country Club of Naples's greens are elevated and you'll encounter water on 14 holes. There are also 28 bunkers strategically placed throughout. Every hole has a risk-reward scenario in play, which keeps the low handicappers happy but also gives new golfers the confidence to tackle the golf course without the fear that it's too much to handle.

Playing Lakewood
Have played at Lakewood many times over the part ten years…good course for a leisurely round..,good opportunity to tune up the short game….
Good short Par 3 course
Course was okay for average player but very tight fairways and small greens for beginners b
Better places elsewhere
Got an email an hour before we played that the front 9 was closed due to overnight rainfall so we could only play 9 holes. Starter was friendly but the guy inside the clubhouse was very rude and threatened to fire the starters for no reason. I took some newer golfers there since it's an easier course. Was able to get half our money back since we were only allowed to play 9 holes. I wouldn't go back there again though as the course was poorly kept and the rude staff
Challenging executive course
Course was is ok shape but very playable. Easy to walk but had a cart. Challenging but overly difficult. Pace of play was good only had to wait on a couple holes. It was very crowded probably because of lack of public courses in area and price.
Lakewood
More of an executive course than a country club. Short par 3’s as well as 4’s. No par 5’s which is what we were expecting. No driving range, only a beat up net for 2 people to practice on. This course is not worth the money.
Lakewood is value for thr money
Only a Par 60 but fun enough course .. greens are small but great for irons practice.. staff is great .. i left a gps in my cart .. went back 3 days later ... starter remembered and retrieved from prp shop
