Lakewood Country Club
About
Lakewood Country Club of Naples sprawls across 52 lush acres that is home to an abundance of wildlife, including several different bird species. Located just outside of downtown Naples, Marco Island is just a few minutes away. The golf course snakes around four freshwater lakes, the sparkling waters contrasting beautifully with the native trees and shrubs that border the fairways and greens. The par-60 course is ideal for beginners, offering a round with a conveniently quick pace of play that will still put your short game skills to the test. Making putts is particularly challenging. Most of Lakewood Country Club of Naples's greens are elevated and you'll encounter water on 14 holes. There are also 28 bunkers strategically placed throughout. Every hole has a risk-reward scenario in play, which keeps the low handicappers happy but also gives new golfers the confidence to tackle the golf course without the fear that it's too much to handle.

Good Short Game Practice
Wanted some short game practice and did not want to spend the entire day golfing. Completed course in 2 hrs 15 mins.
Short Course
Perfect for me. I’m not a long hitter and this course is mostly par 3’s with some short par 4’s.
Nice practice course
More of a short executive course.in fairly good condition. Holes are not to challenging. Not many sand traps, greens are in good shape.
I would recommend for someone who is looking for a nice practice course or maybe a great course to play golf with your wife or someone who is just learning the game.
No Pacing
They just let everyone off whenever they wanted. 4+ hours for a 3,000 yard course. Expect to wait 10-15 minutes between shots. The course seems like a fun par 3 layout, but nowhere near worth it for the time.
Ridiculous pace of play
Got so tired of waiting on every hole (at least 10 minutes) we finally left at 13. Course cramming too many players and apparently even letting some of the back. Will never do this again.
Nice little course
I’ve played this course several times. And it is in pretty decent shape. Some of the greens have bare spots but not a bad course for the money
Naples value
We are enjoying a one month stay in Naples and decided to try Lakewood golf through the golf now application. It was a small par three iand four course in OK shape A bit wet and muddy in spots, but overall we enjoyed our play at a reasonable rate during hi season.
Slow
You don’t put people off the back 9 when you gave people playing thru. After nine, went to tenth tee box and there were 5 carts waiting, none who had played the front nine. Left course
Ok
Greens need some love and there isn’t even a place to buy a cup of coffee on the premises.
Otherwise it’s a good course to practice your short game if the price is right.
Mopadre
Fairways - so so
Greens - small
The pace was pretty slow
Pretty course, in the old Florida tradition
Course not as advertised
We read how wonderful this course was and in impeccable condition. Not true. Fairways seemed hacky. Greens although in good shape are incredibly small. We understand it’s a short course with maybe11 par 3’s and 7 par 4’s. The small greens are tough to hit. Interesting. The conditions are being hyped as outstanding to offset the short course, but the conditions are not very good. Tee boxes are mostly green sand fill, fairways don’t seem maintained. If you want short game practice go play.
