Lakewood Country Club

About
Lakewood Country Club of Naples sprawls across 52 lush acres that is home to an abundance of wildlife, including several different bird species. Located just outside of downtown Naples, Marco Island is just a few minutes away. The golf course snakes around four freshwater lakes, the sparkling waters contrasting beautifully with the native trees and shrubs that border the fairways and greens. The par-60 course is ideal for beginners, offering a round with a conveniently quick pace of play that will still put your short game skills to the test. Making putts is particularly challenging. Most of Lakewood Country Club of Naples's greens are elevated and you'll encounter water on 14 holes. There are also 28 bunkers strategically placed throughout. Every hole has a risk-reward scenario in play, which keeps the low handicappers happy but also gives new golfers the confidence to tackle the golf course without the fear that it's too much to handle.

The course might be reasonable for a quick practice round at $30 but is not good value at its actual cost of $54.
The fairways are not well maintained and are not in good shape. The greens from one hole are almost on top of the next hole's tee box so watch for balls coming at you.
The "warm up area" consists of two sad looking mats hitting into an ancient net.
It's a typical executive course by Florida standards. Pretty much all par 3s and no par 5s. With a total distance of 3,010 yards, the average hole length is 167 yards.
The staff are friendly and nice but that is not going to make or break my round or the enjoyment there of.
I wouldn't go too far out of my way to play at this course.
Near by, convenient and inexpensive
Decent course. Had to play back nine twice because floating. Plays like an executive layout
Front 9 closed
Paid for 18 holes on Golf Now.
When we got there they told use the front 9 was closed due to rain the night before and we could play the back 9 twice. This happened to us here two week prior and we did just that.
This time the person I was golfing with did not want to just play the back 9 twice so we asked if we could have a rain check to play another time or get a refund. The lady working was and just said nope sorry. Terrible customer service as this is a local course to us and we play all the time,
We left and didn’t play.
Great Staff
If you're looking to work on your short game it's a great course. The staff is awesome.
Great course
This is a great course the staff is terrific and friendly enjoy playing here
1st time golfers
My son and I had an absolute blast at Lakewood. It was our very 1st golf course experience. Checkin and golf cart was super easy. Staff was extremely friendly and answered all of my random questions. Course is smaller but that is exactly what we wanted. Did 9 holes in under 2 hours and would definitely go back to complete the 18. Experienced players will play much faster.
Course wasn't in the best conditions. Fairway was about the same thickness of the rough.
Great course for high high work. Precision shots required for the small greens.
Robert It's unfortunate that you have left us such a low score without any detail. Most players feel the course is in great shape staff is friendly and pace of play is very good. Maybe next time contact the GM or give more detail in your review. Thanks
