Good Day of Golf
This was our first time at this course - The staff was very friendly and helpful - We were given a "cheat sheet" with a description of each hole to help us navigate the course - It was appreciated and keep us out of some unseen hazards ! The course was very dry and some greens were really bad .... but overall we had a great day on the course - We will probably be back ... The 19th hole beverage specials are great !!
Tee boxes terrible no grass sand
I don’t recommend playing here, fairways have weeds and sand, and I’m not talking about sand traps.

GETTING BETTER!
Been golfing here for years since the price is right. The course is the best I’ve ever seen it!! Some greens are pretty bad, but overall, the improvements are noticeable. The layout is quite unique, including an island green, a wide variety of holes, and a lot of water!!
Needs Taken care of
The tee boxes hardly had grass on them and the weeds were longer than the grass. Fairways were in OK shape but the greens could use a lot of work.

Deteriorating conditions
New ownership got rid of the wild hogs which had completely damaged the front nine last year. Late fall this year when all 18 holes were re-opened, conditions were fairly good. However, now most greens are in poor condition, and worse week by week. Also an over-abundence of fire ants are taking over the fairways. Not able to buy anything on Sunday as the restaurant is closed. Disappointed that conditions are falling behind.
Hopefully management will remedy this and keep the course going. It would be a shame to see it go!

Slowly improving
The course has made many improvements this year. Much faster play. And course is improving. Club house looks nice but bartender was very unfriendly and non engaging. Rest of the staff is super friendly and outgoing. Maybe bartender was having a bad day but not good for business.

Seeing Improvements
We've been playing here for the last couple years. I wouldn't say the course is in great shape but it is definitely improving. Looks like they have the past problem with pigs tearing up the course under control. Will definitely go back.

Much improved
River Ridge was sold last fall. The new owners have made a concerted effort to improve the course. It shows. In a couple of growing seasons this course could be first rate.

Nice Course
It was a difficult back nine with water hazards all over. Took us by surprise but got through it. The greens need a little work but overall a nice course.
River Ridge - A Hidden Gem
The course is more challenging on the back nine than the first, but always a pleasure to play. One well worth visiting.
Great place
Improvements made since last April were wonderful. April 2018 the front nine was a disaster due to hog destruction. However, the new owners have got rid of the hogs, and repaired all the areas which had been destroyed. For six months the front nine was actually closed. Now it is back to all 18 holes and in great shape. Hope they keep up the great work!!

Nine holes closed
Love the course layout, great staff, BUT.... last spring they closed the front nine due to terrible course conditions - hogs digging up fairway, and just plain, bad condition. I called the course from up north on September 4, as I will be heading back South soon, and lo and behold, the front nine is still closed, with no definite reopening date.
Please get it up to snuff soon, or you will be losing all your customers, and the course in general! We want you open and fully operational! Would NOT recommend this course as it is at present.
Course is poorly maintained
I'm not a course snob, but the greens on this course are very poorly maintained. There are large patches of dirt and weeds on every green. The fairways are a mix of dirt and overgrown areas. The restaurant is closed on Saturday and Sunday so plan on eating elsewhere.
Could be a lot better.
With it not being “in season” The course was awful Even for the money. Wasn’t told the back nine was the only part open, paid for 18 holes had to play the back nine twice. This course has a lot of potential just needs A LOT of work.
