Executive at Seven Springs Country Club

About
Seven Springs Country Club in New Port Richey offers two golf courses, the Challenger and the Championship. The club conveniently sits just minutes from the scenic Gulf of Mexico beaches and attractions of Tampa Bay. The Challenger Course is an executive-length layout that offers the same challenges as the more demanding Championship Course but on a smaller scale. There are not as many water features on the Challenger but there is a large lake and a meandering creek that comes into play on several holes. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. The layout offers a gentler version of the Championship that is more manageable for beginners but it is also a great quick round for more experienced players. It is even gentle enough for juniors to get in some short game practice.

Not a hackers course
Really enjoyed the Little course even though the course conditions were different hole to hole due to the recent rain. Very tight executive course with houses very close to narrow fairways. Balls are easily lost even in the first cut of rough. My 3 some are hackers and despite our lack of needed accuracy, we had 2 fun rounds over the weekend. Course pro shop and snack bar were super friendly and helpful.
Nice short course for practice
The Little Course was perfect to tune your game. I booked this course to specifically work on my irons and most holes I was able to do this. There were also a couple holes where driver can into play. Course layout was a little confusing for a 1st time player. Condition of course for this time of year was pretty good.
Best deal around
The Little/Executive course isn’t perfect, but you can tell they’re trying. The little course is definitely nicer than it was last year. It’s only a par 64, but it’s very challenging and fun for all levels of golfers. Staff is always awesome, polite, and helpful. We like it/them so much that my wife and daughter took lessons there. The Champions course is gorgeous! Definitely recommend either course.
The fairways were in pretty good condition considering we’ve been in a drought here. They were out working on the course and also killing the weeds, which is a plus. The greens need work though. It looks like they had been aerated awhile ago and sanded, but they’re so rough. It’s hard to play a decent game when you have greens that are anything but forgiving.
Small course tight and congested
This small course is stuffed close to each other. The course is holes are way to close to each other and a few time we noticed golfers from other holes combing on to our holes to place their balls.
The course was in decent shape.
Played it once but don’t see us going back again.
Lots of new golfers
Waited 10 min on every hole. Lots of first time golfers without a clue about pace of play.
Executive Course with no greens keepers
The fairway was dried out and your were hitting off a dirt mound most of the time. The greens were bumpy with overgrown grass and weeds popping out. The ball couldn’t grip the grass when you putted creating crazy breaks on the ball. Horrible course.
Where am I?
I’m all for beginners, but I looked around and saw 10 people missing the ball completely. When they did manage to make contact they hit it in the wrong fairways. At least a few of them yelled “fore.” I plan to wear a helmet if/when I go back. The course was in the worst shape I’ve seen. Apparently water is a precious commodity in rainy Florida
Awful Condition
There are no redeeming qualities of this course. Unless you're looking to just get out there, don't waste your time. Most tee boxes and fairways are lacking grass. Around the greens are like concrete. The greens are full of small bits of crab grass weeds and sand. If you're trying to work on short game and putting you're going to have a bad time.
If You Want to Walk and Don’t Mind Lack of Maintenance and Super Slow Round…
I hate to say bad things about a course but the upkeep is not good here. Greens, fairways, tee boxes all in rough shape. Pace of play was terrible as a lot of walkers, 3 women in front of twosome ahead of me made it beyond slow. For $37 I guess it’s not a horrible deal but I won’t be trying again.
