El Rio Golf Club
About
El Rio Golf Course in Fort Myers is a player-friendly layout that will appeal to players of all skill levels. It's an ideal course for beginners who are looking to get in some practice on a full-length course. The layout consists of mostly par 3s and most of the holes are on the shorter side. Though it's a seemingly simple design, the greens have slopes that range from subtle to dramatic, which can make determining your approach to them a daunting task. Trees that line the fairways demand accuracy but the landing areas are generous. El Rio Golf Course has a pace of play that makes it convenient if you're looking for a quick round and the layout is gentle enough for beginners, and even junior players, to tackle with confidence.

El Crap-O
It’s a par 3 course from 1950. The “clubhouse” looked like my grandpa’s garage. The fairways are cow pastures and the tee boxes are dirt. We ended up leaving after 12 holes because of the pace of play. The average age on the course was probably 76 years old.
Fun, fast round
I did not know what to expect when I made this reservation. It was a pleasant surprise.
It is a short course, no par 5’s, and some of the par 4’s would be 3’s on a championship course, but we finished in 2.5 hours
quick round
not the best course, but if you want a quick, under 3 hour round, this is your place.. great staff..
Good course for the money
We really like the course, great for average golfers. Price is excellent
Great practice course
Awesome course for having some fun an practicing very chill vibe an I really enjoy it
Good small course
Greens are slow, but overall a wonderful small course. Great value! Not a driver course all small par 3’s and extremely small par 4’s but is a fun place to play with full 18 holes.
FIRE ANTS
Beware of this course until they start spraying for ants. The fire ants are bad. I will give them credit for the improved tee boxes. Before, the fire ants would swarm you while you were teeing off. The driving range is covered with fire ant beds. I don't think they understand how painful it is to get 12 or 15 ant bites. It lasts for several days and can leave scars. This is not the first complaint. Start caring about your customers. Don't bother sending me an email saying, "We are not perfect, but we are trying." Just try harder!
