El Rio Golf Club
About
El Rio Golf Course in Fort Myers is a player-friendly layout that will appeal to players of all skill levels. It's an ideal course for beginners who are looking to get in some practice on a full-length course. The layout consists of mostly par 3s and most of the holes are on the shorter side. Though it's a seemingly simple design, the greens have slopes that range from subtle to dramatic, which can make determining your approach to them a daunting task. Trees that line the fairways demand accuracy but the landing areas are generous. El Rio Golf Course has a pace of play that makes it convenient if you're looking for a quick round and the layout is gentle enough for beginners, and even junior players, to tackle with confidence.

Short course, but not pricey
The course is short. It's perfect for practicing irons and short game. Most of the tee boxes are in pretty rough shape, which almost forces using a tee on even the super short 100Y holes. Ground is rather rough, so it's almost impossible to take a divot. But 18 holes with a cart for $30 isn't terrible value for the area. If you are looking to crush a driver, look elsewhere. But if you want to work on control and irons, not a bad option.
Short Game
Good course to practice your irons and short game
Very busy, ranger/manager would have been helpful . Only saw 1 guy doing everything from getting drinks/food to checking in players
Course pretty beat up, greens in fair shape.
Friendly staff
This golf course is blessed with extremely friendly staff members. It is one of my all times favorite courses to go to and play golf.
Good Value, Friendly Staff
It’s a fun course to go for a quick round, it does have a few par 4’s but there is no need for driver anywhere on the course. The pace was good, I was pretty crowded for a twilight tee time but because each hole was basically a Par 3 it wasn’t a long wait if at all. Great for knocking off rust or for a newer player.
Great course!
Forgiving course, fun to play, greens are getting better!
Good for practice
If you're looking for a place to just get out to knock off rust, you found it. Don't play if cost is over $36, and prepare for extremely slow ply
Had to wait 45 minutes tee time waiting for golf cart.
Some well designed holes. Greens were reasonably well maintained.
Very slow.
Mgmt needs to increase the time bw tee times especially since most holes are par 3s. Tee boxes & fairways are in rough shape. Greens are relatively nice but slow. Not a bad tract to work on your irons and short game.
