El Rio Golf Course in Fort Myers is a player-friendly layout that will appeal to players of all skill levels. It's an ideal course for beginners who are looking to get in some practice on a full-length course. The layout consists of mostly par 3s and most of the holes are on the shorter side. Though it's a seemingly simple design, the greens have slopes that range from subtle to dramatic, which can make determining your approach to them a daunting task. Trees that line the fairways demand accuracy but the landing areas are generous. This course is not worth playing it
It was my worst golf experience in 40 years playing.
55 Bucks? What did u expect
Really short golf course.
I had a rangefinder, thank goodness, as some holes were 30-50 yards shorter than advertised on the card & tee markers.
The course was in reasonable condition for January, greens rolled very well.
Pace of play was terrible on the front and quick on the back 9. Concessions were very reasonable.
Quick tip be careful on #10. The driving range runs parallel and has no nets to protect you. They were taking a guy away in an ambulance while we were there.
Stay Away
Booked this course for 2 couples. Not sure were to start, tee blocks - terrible, fairways - terrible, greens - terrible. Its a par 3 course, all 18 holes, says some par 4's, around 200 yard, some par 4's are shorter. If you want to go out and hack around, this is a course for you, if not select another one.
The Grounds
The Greens and Tee boxes need so much work. It is cheaper than most golf courses, and usually tee times are available.
Good for short game
Nice mixture of short and long par 3 holes. Greens and traps in good shape, fairways average.
Trash
Don’t waste your time or money. They should sell or close
